How NOT to Get a Discount on Doughnuts

Many of us like doughnuts.  But how far would you go to get a discount on them?  Meet Chuck Barry.  It seems that Mr. Barry used some creative techniques to get a discount on doughnuts recently.  Read the news article and watch the video embedded in the article.  How low is it to use your deceased father's id to get cheap doughnuts?

Read the article and watch the video.  What do you think of his actions?  Should he have been arrested or just given a warning?

This guy was not being the brightest to go that far for donuts. He was clever enough to think of the cop impersonation, but that is still wrong, plus he got cuaght. I would never do this, if you want something, work for it, life is give and take sometimes. Fast food resturants or businesses are about that most of the time.

I wouldn’t go that far just too get some doughnuts. He was probably hungry and didn’t have enough money to buy doughnuts, so he lied to get a discount but unfortunately the lie didn’t work. I think he had something wrong with him in order to do that type of thing, maybe he just loves doughnuts or something. I think he shouldn’t of did that and he should of just brought the doughnuts like a normal person.

Honestly the guy was probably handicap in some way. You have to be really stupid to be able to pull a gun on someone over donuts. That’s why the guy got arrested because he is dangerous on the streets. It’s good that he has some time in jail give him some time to think.

This is crazy, how chould he think he was gonna get a discount using his deceased father's ID. Which is very disrespectful, because his father served as a U.S. Air Marshal not him. Then he went back to the same doughnut shop claiming to be a cop, nobody's stupid enough to fall for that.

I wondered if it ever occured to him that impersonating a cop is against the law. He did the dumpiest thing ever; I even knew that you can get in trouble for impersonating a cop. He really deserved what he got, because that is wrong. To my opinion he should get some serious jail time, I don’t feel sorry for him not one bit.

I do think that sometime do dumb stuff to get what they want. But pretending to be a law enforcement officer that’s just straight up dumb. So that’s what I think about him doing that and I’m and that he should be put in h jail for that.

It is very sad to me that this is what society is like today. It was very low of him to use his father’s ID/badge and I’m sure his father would be very disappointed in him. If he doesn’t have enough money for a doughnut, maybe he should get a job or just not get doughnuts everyday! This whole thing is ridiculous to me, to get so wrapped up in doughnuts that you impersonated someone! The discount probably doesn’t do much anyway.

I can understand that sometimes people do some low things. But that right there is taking it too far. To use your dead father’s credits for a discount on donuts is too much. I hope he learns from his mistake.

It wasn't right to use his dead father's badge just to get doughnuts. But, he might have gotten away with it if he had not have went to the same Dunkin Doughnuts the next day. It was ignorant and I hope he learns from his mistake.

This is the most craziest thing anyone can do. If you love donuts that much you really need to go to rehab and get fixed asap. This shows how greedy people really is. We have people in the world that cant even eat. And he doing all of this just for a discount on food. Really man grow up.

That was just pure stupid and dumbest form him.I know he wanted a doughnut, but to use his dead father badge ,that low.He need to learn from his mistake.

He went way too far just to try to get a discount on donuts. Some people do act really cheap on things like food wise, but it really isn't necessary to pretend to be someone else, even if they were related to you. Chuck was just way to desperate for them donuts, but I hope it was worth getting arrested for.

I wouldn't have gone that far just to get some doughnuts. Chuck didn't need those doughnuts that bad. If I was the worker I would have did the same thing. No one should be able to do that for some doughnuts.

I understand if it was food that is more valuable but donuts aren't anything special. I understand if he loves donuts but to pull a gun on someone over donuts is crazy. Then you use your fathers ID just because he served in the U.S Air Marshal, over top of that your father passed away. That's very disrespectful in many ways. I think this man should be arrested and put in some kind of rehab.

It wasn't right for him to use his dads law enforcement items to get donuts, but if he didn't want to get caught, he shouldn't of done it everyday. He should get jail time for impersonating a cop, and he should feel horrible about what he has done.

This man is crazy. I understand about coupons and trying to get discounts on things you really want, but this man is crazy. He got a discount alright. However, I believe that he went just a little too far on getting that discount. He should’ve been thinking a little more. If he didn’t go too far on getting discounts, he would’ve never gotten the cops involved.

This guy impersonated a U.S. Air Marshal just to save about a dollar on some donuts. He must either be really cheap or just not very smart. Hopefully the embarrassment he is probably feeling will help him learn his lesson.

I would not go as far as that to get a discount especially for donuts. Impersonation is wrong anyways. He just humiliated himself. I would not want a head line to read "Man Aressted for Donuts". That is too much. He must be broke and hungry to do all that. Sure, it was an okay idea, until he got busted.

First I think this was very disrespectful for him to use his Fathers id. Second if he wanted donuts that badly he could’ve just got a job and bought them his self. I don’t think his father would’ve been very proud of him

I think he is a fat loser. He should accept the fact that his discount has been over used and move on. If he is willing to go that far over a dollar off he should seek some mental help because there is clearly a deeper problem with this guy.

I think he was trying to get a lot of discounts. I think he was crazy. He was insane, and he got the cops involved. I can’t believe that this happened.

I think Chuck went a little to far trying to get discounts. Also, using his fathers identity was wrong. I think the law did the right thing by arresting him.

The struggle is real! That man went to the extreme to get some free donuts. If he got the gas money to get there, he should have the money to simply purchase a doughnut. I hope justice gets served.

That was weird. Using his father's identity was really wrong. He got what he deserved.

Donuts are very delicious. No wonder this guy wants some pieces of heaven. But he did it the wrong way; if he got arrested I would not blame anybody for it. Some people in this world will do anything for something they want, even they break the law.

What this man did wasn't every smart. I dont see why he went this fare just to get donuts half off. If his father could of seen this I'm pretty sure he would be disapointed.

He went way to far for just that discount. I wouldn't have did all that for that little discount. He honestly shouldn't have really went through all the trouble. Why would he honestly us his dads ID. How crazy could he get. If he wanted donuts that bad he should have just asked for a job there and have all the donuts he wants.

That is odd that someone would go that far for some doughnuts. Although it is kind of funny I think it was a bad idea to use his deceased fathers ID. It was not only disrespectful but it ruined his name for some doughnuts.

Wow this guy is crazy. I understand how good the doughnuts are but he took it too far. Well this just shows you how far people will go for doughnuts.

Not only did the man impersonate a US official, but he used his dead father's identity. That is craziest thing I have ever heard. I would also consider that disrespectful to those who actually are Us Air Marshals. He needs to go on a diet.
He deserves whatever punishment they give him.

Brianna Mcnew said...

I am totally confused by his actions, I do not understand why he would impersonate a person just for a few donuts that he clearly did not need. I feel like he went out of his way for something that wasn't worth it at all. Plus, It was kind of disrespectful and selfish. The man's father had past away and he used his items to get something he wanted. That was't thoughtful at all. If he wanted donuts that bad he should have either payed for them himself or found some cheaper donuts.

If this guy really wanted a donuts then he could of bought them. why would you use your dads ID just to get a discount on donuts. He should feel dumb to get the police involved for some donuts.

That's crazy, who would step that far to get donuts? I mean donuts are delicious, but I wouldn't use my deceased father's information to get a discount. He deserved what he got, he his father was alive today I bet he wouldn't be doing anything he's doing now. My opinion is that he didn't need donuts that bad to do what he had done.

Chuck Barry was stupid because he said he was an U.S. Air Marshal. Chuck probaly didnt have anough money for the doughnuts and wanted a discount. Chuck was stupid for trying to get a disscount on soughnuts when you cnat.

I would show my military ID and if they didn't take the discount off than I would get the manger. I think it was wrong what he did. He should be banned from all the donut places in Florida because of what he did.

This guy is so crazy. I think the only reason that he steal the donuts is that donken donut are really tasy. I think that this guy is so fat they need to suspend him from all those donut place all he does is steal them and take tjose donuts home.

Landon Newcomer said...

It was stupid because Chuck impersonated to be a U.S Air Marshal. Which is something easily proven. Plus all of that trouble just to get a discount on some donuts.

Anonymous said...

This guy went way to far for donuts also it was very disrespectful for this man to impersonate a U.S. Air Marshal. Because they actually go through intense training and this guy did not. Plus I would feel so bad to be a Marshal and have this guy try to impersonate me.
