Shift Happens

The videos you are about to watch are at the very least eye-opening and hopefully thought provoking. Do you believe the statistics you have just seen? Is the United States at a disadvantage, education wise? Does this make you want to work harder in school?

Does size really matter, and what does this imply for the future? Think it over and reply. Really think it over! I am looking for at least five sentences in your response! And as always, remember to proofread it!

I thought this video was very interesting. It is kind of sad that the Chinese are speaaking English better than Americans, but the world is changing. A lot of people won't except that. Change is good. Technology is amazing. Without technology, the world wouldn't be what it is.

I think the video was great. It told me a lot of things I didn’t know, and I thought it was interesting. It made me think about a lot of things. The population of China and India shocked me, it was amazing. Without technology the world wouldn’t be what it is today. I hope to see more videos like this.

This video was an eye opener. I think that change is happening to quickly. This put an uneeded amount of stress on people to keep up with the pace. China is overpopulated and has the highest IQ in the world. I dont think that all change is good but some of it can be for the better.

I believe that the U.S. is not that great. We think we are the top nation though. However China is way more advanced then the U.S.
China has a bigger military and has more advanced kids then the U.S. All and all we as a nation need to improve.

I messed up the comment. So i have to write a new one which is pretty boring. So here is my second comment. I think it's kinda bad that kids in other countries are a lot smarter than kids in America. I thought America was suppose to be a great country. Is this better?

In the video they said that size really does matter. The video does make me want to work harder. In the future I think that there will be a lot more technology. So if there is more technology I think more jobs will come about. I think that if we keep getting good education we will be prepared for the future.

This video was eye opening. It is sad that poorer kids are better in school than we are. This video made us think about our pasts and how it has changed in a few short years. It is also scary that pretty soon there will be a computer that is smarter than humans. Whats going to happen is that it's gonna be like i robot.

The video was very informational. But I think that the world is changing too fast. It is very scary to know that we as teenagers may not have good paying jobs in the future. I also think that with the way technology is going it will take over most of the everyday things we do, for example they may start making robots. But as long as we keep getting a good education and as much education as we can we may be ok.

I agree with the video that the times are changing and they are changing quickly. The thing I don't get is how the Chinese and the Indains are speaking English better than we are. I do also agree that getting an education is very important than it was a few years ago. Our country as a whole needs to join educational supremacy race because as a great democratic country we are falling behind China and India. Over all I thought that this video was interesting and very imformative.

I think that the video was right. Technology Is changing rapidly and I think that it is too fast. I already knew that China had more people than us, but I didn't know that India had more people than China and America. It also shocked me that China has more Honor students than we have students. But If technology is making more jobs, Than i can't disagree with Teechnology.

In the future humans will not be able to do nothing on their own because of robots being created. A lot of people will be jobless because technology is taking over. Chinese people will probably have most of the well paying jobs because they are smarter than Americans. The U.S.A will more than likely be crowded with Chinese people. All I can say that it is a crazy world.

I think that the video really inspired me to do my best in school. There are jobs out there that people have but don't enjoy them. Education is very important in today's society and different nationalities are coming to take our jobs everyday. I think that the children of the future should do their best and get their education. I believe that We can be successful in anything if we just believe it.

Hello Mr. downing, I liked the video, I think it was very interesting. I do believe that there will be more jobs in the future because of technology. I also believe that it also may take jobs away as we progresses in the future. The world is changing a lot. People are getting smarter an learning a lot.

I really like the video alot. It really caught my eye about technology and facts on other country. China has the highest IQ in the world. What really shock me was that Chinese people can speak English better than Americans. Also China have the most honor kids in the world.

This video was really interesting. I really learned a lot and I find it amazing how smart, big, and powerful China is. The citizens in the US really should get better educations and work harded. I find it some what scary that technology is going to be so much smarter than us. What happens when they get too smart?

This video really blew my mind. Who would've thought that China would have so much better of an education then we do? The video really makes you want to work harder in school so that we as Americans can improve our education. I think that everyone in the United States should watch this video so that they too can open there eyes to see these things. The video overall was very good n very interesting. :)

Shift definitely happens everyday. It is obvious to the world. We are either going to have to advance with it or be left behind. I think shift is great, but a the same time it isn't. We must be very careful with it though.

Shift does happen. It often comes as a surprise. Some people are more frightened by it than others. People can help with change or just let it happen. It will happen, even if we do not try to help it along. I will carry out my life and change as I need to.

This video was very scary to me. It shows that we as U.S. citizens are outnumbered, uneducated, and being outperformed globally. This seems to be the result of having an entertainment-based economy. We pay more attention to American Idol and video games then the presidential elections and understanding modern technology (save for understanding how to text and i.m.), let alone the local politics and furthering our technology. The only thing that scares me is the population of Asia. This may result in the standard of living of the U.S. dropping dramatically while China's rises at the same time. Frankly, we got too comfortable as a nation and are falling behind.

I don't like some of the ideas in the video. I mean they said things about super computers with more ability than the human brain, if that happened... it would set the world up for what happened in movies like "Terminator Series", "I-Robot", or even the recent movie " 9 ". I just over all, don't want to/like to hear about this type of subject. Plus, there statistics are inaccurate. Although, eventually, humanity will find another planet like earth to colonize... so who knows... maybe it will happen on said colony instead of Earth.

Well, I'm an encyclopedia of random facts, and I've just gathered more. This was a very well made video, and I loved it. Change is a large part of my life, and my career path is tied into change directly. As an aeronautical engineer, I'll be on the leading edge of technology. It makes me feel a little nostalgic, really. Pretty soon, the effulgence of change will hit us, and then what? More change. It's one of the few constants of the human race.

I think the video was eye-opening. It showed me a lot of things that is going on in the U.S. today. One thing that shocked me was when it said China speaks more English then the United States. I think very soon that the world is going to be controlled by robots. That’s a scary thought, I guess I have to wait and see what will happen.

I thought this video was very interesting. Its very neat that China can speak better English than Americans. I learned a lot from this video. Our nation needs a lot of help with the economy. Thanks for this video.

I think this video really open my eyes to new aspect of the world today! It was really interesting, what really shocked me is that Chinese people can speak better English than Americans, I find that really ironic. I also think that the American population needs to step up its game, because we are slacking in a lot of different areas in society as one. I personally think that, if more Americans watched this video they would make better life choices and look at the world as if they wanted a better tomorrow. This video was a great learning experience.

I think the video was very interesting. It really made me think about my future. Countries around the world are very advance. Other children around the world are very smart. I'm going to work hard on learning more so i can keep up with the rest of the world.
