One of the most popular short stories (actually a novella) of all time " A Christmas Carol" was written in 1843 by Charles Dickens. Amazingly enough this book has never been out of print. Over the years there have been numerous movies, musicals and plays made about it.The latest version of "A Christmas Carol" starring Jim Carrey opened last Friday. From Walt Disney Studios this movie has had enormous publicity and is expected to do quite well at the box office. Did I mention that it is in 3D and also will be playing at IMAX theaters? Let's watch the theatrical trailer. What do you think?

It looks like a good movie. It looks funny. I don't think i would go see it though. I don't really like cartoon movies that much.
This movie looks good. Jim Carrey is a good actor. I can't wait to see it on DVD. I have seen all the previous versions of this movie. This one looks the best and has the best cast.
In fifth Grade my English teacher made us read the Christmas Carol. I didn't like the book. I am going to the movie though, Jim Carrey is the best!!!

Dear Mr. Downing, I think the move is going to be great. It looks as though it will be very successful. The 3D looks wonderful. I think it’s going to be interesting. It’s going to be funny because Jim Carrey is voicing one of the characters.
I think this movie is interesting. These type of movies are made to look interesting to make you want to watch it. It's kinda funny and scary at the same time because of the ghost and the scrooge man. I love movies with thrills. I will definitely go see it if I can.

I like 3D movies but not cartoon 3D movies. I have heard of the Christmas carol but I really don’t pay attention to things like that. I think that some adults and children would enjoy the movie because it’s in 3D I don’t think I would go and see it though.

I don't really like Disney films, but this seems like it will be a good one. I would like to see it on IMAX. IMAX 3D would be even better. It seems to me that the movie is getting put out too far away from Christmas. I wonder if it will match the success of the Polar Express.

That movie looks interesting to watch. Exspecially with Jim Carey playing the characters. It looks pretty good to enjoy watching with your family, such as cousins and family members. SWEET!

I have never read the real book, but I have seen many versions of the movie and this one looks pretty good compared to them. I like Jim Carrey so I think the movie should be pretty entertaining. The trailer was funny and I think the movie will be too. Plus it's in i-max which should make it even cooler.
We read the story and we watched the movie in 7th grade. I thought they were both okay. This version of the movie looks like it'll be a bit better than the old version. I don't know if I'll go see it in theaters but I'm not sure because I think my mom wants to see it.
I've read the book, and it was very good. Even though the cheery moral was a cover for the darker accusations against the British business world, it is a good read. I've seen a few movie interpretations, and this seems to be the most well-funded. It should be good, but I will not be going to see this movie.
I enjoyed the other versions of this movie including the Muppets' version. Jim Carry is a very funny actor and I'm sure he will not disappoint in that aspect. I would very much like to see this movie in IMAX. Its almost Christmas!

I think it could be interesting. Jim Carey was the last actor I expected to play the role. I have difficulty seeing him as anything outside of humorous. I have to see it to decide if he is capable of it.
The graphics are outstanding. I like the 3D effect they are going for. I don't think it will be on the level of The Muppet's Christmas Carol, though.

I'm going to go see it sometime soon. Also I think I can Relate to Mr. Scrooge. hopefully, i will be seeing it in 3D. I have Read more recent versions of the book, but not the original. "IMDB" (Internet Movie Data Base) says it has a 7.1/10 rating, so it probably is good. Although, if it is like what happened with 20th Century Fox Animation (people who did all the Ice Age movies) Titan A.E. in 2000, it may not be worth seeing. but only time will tell...
