Happy Birthday Mustang

That most iconic of American cars, the Mustang will soon have a 50th birthday.  Take a look at the new Mustang.  Next April the Mustang will have been around in many forms over 50 years.  A short history of the Mustang is contained in the first hyperlink; the second hyperlink looks at the 50th anniversary edition.  The video is a celebration of the car.  Enjoy it.

Now for your assignment.  Check out both links and watch the video.  Learn about the history of this auto.  In your post today, tell us one fact that you have learned about the 'stang.  Also tell us what kind of car you want and why.

Finally, most of you know that I have a 1966 Mustang at home.  I may bring it to school before the end years!

The new Mustang rides lower to the ground, and takes a few cues from other Fords. I myself am not a huge Ford fan. I prefer Chevy’s. When I am old enough to drive I would love to have a Chevy truck.

I think the Ford Mustang is an American icon. I've learned that Ford has sold over 8.5 million Mustangs over the years. This in itself is a monumental accomplishment. As for the car I want I don’t actually want a car I want a truck. I want a Dodge Ram 1500 with 4-wheel drive and four doors. But if I had to choose a car it would have to be a Dodge Charger.

My mom had a Mustang; my dad sold it while she was at work one day. It’s a very tragic story, but she’s okay about it now. I originally didn’t know anything about the Mustang; I don’t really know anything about cars. I don’t even know what kind of car I want.

Here we are, nearly 50 years later and Ford has sold more than 8.5 million Mustangs. And just to let you know mustangs are one of my favorite cars. But if it was me I would get a Chevy camaro.

I didn’t know that the Mustang was built to win over women. They did this because the women decided what the men bought. I also didn’t know that the Mustang has been around for 50 years! That’s a really long time! I am very fortunate because I drive my dream car. I drive a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, and I love my car. That car means everything to me and I think my parents all the time for giving me my dream car.

I didn’t know that it would be the mustang’s 50th anniversary. For it to be built to win over women, is funny in a way, now people just use it for that and for driving and getting around. I have no idea what car I want, maybe one that can get me where I need to be, has good milage, and is safe for every passenger in the veehicle. The mustnag can be used to look important but if I had it, I would just be using it to go to the places I needed to be. I am still thinking of what car I want for the future.

I like the Mustang I think It’s pretty cool. One fact I learned was that it had a old suspension for so long. There finally updating it though so that good. I think my choice of car would be a dodge charger. I don’t know why I want it I just think it’s a gorgeous car and I always wanted one since I was little.

I learned that Ford has sold more than 8.5 million mustangs. It’s a pretty cool car, I actually wanted one when I was younger, because my granddad had one and it rode so smoothly, it was amazing. They will be releasing a new mustang in 2015, but they are setting the stage for the arrival at the beginning of the year. The mustang has changed a lot over the years and it has become a good looking car. I wouldn’t mind getting myself one when the time comes for me to start driving!

Who knew Ford originally built the Mustang to win over women, but tapped into the hearts of middle-aged men. Also it was built from the Ford Falcon. I do not really have a dream car, although right now I drive a 2000 Ford Excursion and I love it. It may be a gas guzzler, I feel safe in it, and I know that when I have passengers with me they are safe. I like the idea of a bigger car, I have tried smaller cars before and I just don’t feel as safe in them. So I guess I just want a larger fuel efficient automobile.

To tell you the truth I never knew that the mustang would be 50 years in the making. I don’t have a big deal for ford mustangs. I just don’t want to drive them, even though most people would drive them. But ford mustangs have a big legacy that no other car can have. 50 years is a long time but all I know it’s just a car with a lot of passion for people to drive.

I always wanted a ford. Fords are the best. But, I have wanted a 1990 GMC Z-71 Chevy latley. That is still simple. Chevy use to be the worse kind of truck to me. I have discovered it is better then I was raised to think. I learned that On April 17, 2014 the Mustang Turns 50. I acually thought it was older.

I love the mustang cars. One thing I learned about mustangs it has been here for six generations. The kind of car I want is a Jeep Wrangler for my first car. I want different kinds of cars but that’s my first pick.

This is coming from a girl who loves lifted Toyota Tacoma trucks. I think the new 2015 Ford Mustang is a “bad” car. It looks amazing. Then the only things that I would do to it are to put a 450 engine in it and a two inch lift on it. Other than that it’s perfect.

I learned that the mustang was very popular amongst post-war veteran. If I could my own car I would like a Shelby GT 500 because I like the body style. I also like the loud exhaust pipes.

I didn't know anything about mustangs, or Fords. I prefer Chevy and Dodge. The new mustang looks really different from the older ones. They've been around for 50 years and have sold over 8.5 million!

One thing that I have learned is that the Mustang was originally made to persuade women, but instead men fell in love with them. Honestly, I think that Mustangs body shapes are really cool. They sometimes have a wide shape which makes them look different than other vehicles. Naturally I am a little bit more of a Dodge fan, but that’s just because I grew up around rednecks.

The Mustang is a very iconic car and has become a part of America's past time and hopefully the future. I didn't know that the first Mustang was sold as an accident. I like the original Mustangs better than the newer ones, the new ones look too much like the Ford Fusion to me.

The Mustang is a very unique car. I've learned that the company Ford Sold over 8.5 million Mustangs over the years. When I am able to get my own car, I want a Dodge Charger. i love the way they look.

After reading the article, I learned that Ford has sold over 8.5 million Mustangs. The new Mustang looks cool, but I've never really been a fan of them. I've never actually owned one or driven one so I wouldn't know how good they drive, it just seems like so many people have a Mustang.

One fact about the Mustang is that Ford gave the Mustang its own unique style. And the car that I really want is a BMW. The reason why I want this car is because this car looks sweet and rides very smooth and I like the way it looks with other colors on it and the car is just great. another reason is because I think it is way better than any Mustang in the world.

They have been in the Ford Mustang Business Industry for almost fifty years. When I grow up I want to get a 2016 purple Nissan. I like the color of the Nissan. I like the ride of it. I like Nissians and Mustangs equality the same.

I learned that the Mustang was originally designed to appeal to women. The car I really want and will always want is the 1970 challenger R/T. I just love the look and the power. It sounds amazing.

One thing I learned about the Mustang was that it is 50 years old. I knew that it was an older car but not exactly fifty. The car I want is a 1970 Dodge Challenger because it looks awesome and instead of the mighty Hemi engine I want the 440 SixPack or Magnum in the Challenger.

The Ford gave the Mustang it's unique style. The design of the Mustangs now these days are very interesting and have good looks in it. When I get older I want a Mustang or a Camaro. I like them because they are both fast cars. Mustangs were designed to appeal to most women.

I did not realize that the Mustang would soon be celebrating its 50th birthday. I want a Jeep Wrangler with a soft-top. I have always been in love with the large body style of the Jeep.

Starting in the new year, Ford will begin setting the stage for the arrival of an all-new, 2015 Mustang. I think the Mustang is a great car to have. It is very appealing to most people which is why it is so popular.

I found some interesting new information out on the car named Mustang. I never knew that one of the most famous cars would be 50 years old soon. I personally like the old versions more then the new one. I can see why Ford are so picky about the new version because of their fan base.

Zach Reese,
After 50 years the Mustang is still one of the most popular muscle car in America. When I first saw the new design on CarBuzz.com it looked a little weird, but after a few days when the cars design was made official it looked cool to me. I like Chevy more than Ford but there is no way I can ignore this pony. Its big V8 purrs when it revs it engine down the road. It might be interesting to see if the 50th anniversary Mustang will have better sells then the new Corvette.

The Mustang is a very popular and unique car. The Mustang was really designed for women. I think the Mustang is a great car to have. The first day it went on sale they sold 22,000 Mustangs.

I honestly don't like Ford mainly because they have a lot of engine problems and other difficulties. I prefer Chevy's my favorite type of car is the Camaro. It has speed durability and Chevy's generally don't have that many problems.

The first Mustang to roll off the assembly line was a white V-8 convertible. I would think that the first Mustang wouldn't be a convertible. I already have my first car, it is a 1965 Mustang. I’m not able to drive it yet but when I do, It will be amazing.

Ford has sold about 8.5 million mustangs over the 50 years they have been around. That's a lot of cars that have been sold. But they truly are nice cars. I do not know exactly what kind of car I want, but I prefer smaller cars rather than a big car.

Honestly I thought the Ford Mustang was older than 50 years. Seems like those cars have been around forever. They have sold good and have been popular for nearly half a century.
