The Invisible Man

Talk about hiding in plain sight.  Meet Liu Bolin aka The Invisible Man.  Imagine that you photograph yourself blending into the background, whether it be a magazine rack, roadside construction, grocery shelf or any number of places we encounter in our lives.  It is obvious to me from watching the video that he spends a lot of time preparing his photo shoots and does a lot of research.

So how does he do it?  What do think of his techniques and style.  Would you be interested in doing something like that?  Remember that your reply must have at least three sentences.

I think it's impressive how much time and effort he puts into his work. It's pretty clear that he has done research on optical illusions, shading, and depth to be able to pull this off. I couldn't put that much work into something to just take a photograph and be done with it.

I think it is cool how he does this. I don't think I would have the time or patience to put the outfit together. I'm sure there is a lot of planning and research involoved in being invisible in plain sight.

This video was a very cool video.
It was cool how he wasn't able to see the invisible guy. I liked this video

I don't particually like this style of art, but it skill to do that. I'm more bias towards landscape paintings. He is a true artist.

That has to take a lot of patience, time, and skill to do something like that. I think it is very creative and he must really enjoy what he does to keep putting so much effort into it.It's amazing how you can only see his face and outline on whatever background he chose.

I think that he can blend into anything that he can find himself at. I bet that he can make himself disappear in a waiting room of a hospital. I think that it is really cool how he can disappear like that just by painting hinself to look like what he is up against.

I think what he does is pretty interesting. He obviously likes what he does and so do his fans. I think I'd do something like this if I was really into art.

I think that what he does is pretty cool. I think they should teach this to kids in art class, or even at home. I think it would be a fun hobby.

I miss the invisable man. I've seen acts like that and it was impressive. I wonder how much money does he waste on paint and water.

I liked how he put thought into his work. I he put time and effort in his outfit. I don't think I would make time to do that.

I think Mr. Lui Bolin is very impressive. Even more so with optical illusions. The reason why I say that is, because it showed many various magazines clips of the front page you can not find him anywhere. Plus he has put pride into his work and effort. I think it can become a fun hobby of mine I find that it would be intresting to learn how to blend in with everyday life.

I think it's pretty cool how he does it with just paint. I would try to do that if I had the chance. I think they should do it more often.

I think it is very interesting that he spends all of his time standing still just to be invisible and unnoticed for a couple of seconds. I wouldnt be able to stand still for that long, I have a hard enough time being still for more than 30 minutes. If its his passion to be a "chameleon" then thats pretty awesome.

I find it very shocking that he has the patience to stand there for so long. I love his work and want to look at other pictures as well. This art is very unique, and awesome!

I think its cool how the artists paints him so well to make him blend in with his surrounds. Its also intersting how instead of using computer programs like a lot of people would prbably do, he does it by hand... Its crazy how the model has to stand there for three whole days, I wouldn't be able to do it.

I think that this is really cool and creative. But there is no way that I could stand completely still for that long. It's unbelievable that art they create.

I think what he does is very impressive and unique. It obviously takes a lot of time and effort, I could never stand still for 3 days! It would be something neat to learn how to do if I was really into art.

Wow, this truly amazes me how an artist can use just paint to camoflauge himself and you can't hardly really see him. You can see a little though. His art work is very beatiful, exciting, and unique. He really has unique-ness and talence. It would still be hard for me to stand there 30 minutes. He likes doing what he does and so does his fans. I would definately checkout more of his artwork!

I've seen this before and it's cool. It must take him a long time to be able to blend in perfectly with the backrounds. I wouldn't have thought of this.

That was unique how he took his talent, and was able to paint people to look like the figures. Not only that the time and effort it took. Thhis guy has a true gift. He sure amazes me.

This man is very creative and is truly an inspiration to many people. The art of "Hiding in plain sight" is very appealing to many people and shows the creative and interesting side of this man, and many others who are willing to participate in this art. Those who do this art, have to have much time and patience to stand through the emotion and physical side of being so concentrated. I have much respect for art and this man's talents.

I would have thought of that but I wouldn't go through with it. He was a good one to go through with it. But I would think it would be hard to stand their for so long with out moving.

This work requires a lot of time and patience. I would not be able to be the one who is painted, or the painter. I can’t imagine standing just to be painted. It is interesting, though, and very neat.

I like it, it's very unique. I would like to try something like that. But I see it takes patient and time to make it perfect. It's worth the try. (:

Its cool I guess. Not that interesting as an documentary though. He must have been bored out ouf his mind to come up with it.

I think it is very unique how he expresses his self in his own work of art. I personally would not have the time or the patients to do this. I’ll just leave this idea of art to him and give him all the props he need. It’s very cool.

I think he has a true talent but a stupid one. I myself would much rather be invisible out in the woods. But I guess thats just my opinion.

When I saw this video I was amazed that you couldn't see the man in front of the paper stand. They really glued that paper really good on the man. It’s really cool that you can do that and not see them.
