Coming from a military family I know Veterans Day isn't just a day off. It's a serious holiday that we honor those who served for our country. I think the name Veterans Day is better than Armistice Day. It makes the meaning more clear.
Veteran's Day is a very important holiday. I don't just see it as a day off, it's much more. It's a holiday to honor everyone who has served in wars and risked their lives to better our country. I am very grateful to every war veteran out there.

Veteran's Day is so much more than a day off from work and school. It honors those that have served our country and put their lives on the line to protect it. It is a very important holiday and we should all respect and honor those who it celebrates.
Several members of my family have served in the military. I even have medals and honors my grandfather received after serving. Veterans Day allows not only military families but everyone to honor and recognize those protecting our freedom and those who are fighting even today to protect our rights. Freedom is most certainly NOT free!
I think veteran's day is the most important holiday. We sometime times for granted the men and women who fight for us everyday. thank you everyone.

I think Veterans day is a VERY important holiday. It is NOT just a day off. Many men and women have risked, and even lost their lives fighting for this country and all the people living in it. Without them who knows how bad off we would be right now. Some of my family members have been in the military and air force and I have heard many stories about their experiences, some good and bad. I think some people take having a military as great as we do for granted, and dont give the men and women enough credit for their work. But as for me, Im so grateful to have a military as good as we do!

I think Veterans Day is not just a day off from school, but a reminder of the people who have served this country for our freedom; and since then serve our community today. It is a day to honor the fallen, while given thanks to those who are still fighting for us today.
