So if you haven't already heard the news, baby Hashtag Jameson was born just a few days ago. This child's name has became one of the trendiest baby name of all time. What were the parents thinking? Have they not already ruined their child's life? This just proves that the 21th century is nuts about social media.
This is my question for you; do you think the name "Hashtag" is going to ruin the child's life? Is Hashtag a proper name for a human being? We all know social media has became a big part in our lives but do you think it is taking a toll on how we live our lives now? Hashtag; will the child spell its name "Hashtag" or # ?

This kid will probably be bullied nonstop. Because of his name. And if I was him I would change my name as soon as possible
Why would you name your kid Hashtag? I don't think it would ruin your life or anything, but it would make your parents seem like idiots. But what do I now... that kid could become famous because of his name... also, its spelled #.
His parents are going to regret this pretty soon. Hashtag will probably get joked on every time he meets someone new, until they get to know the person for a while and they get used to it. Just goes to show people keep making really bad decisions.
I don't understand why someone would name their child "Hashtag." It shows people how addicted they are to social media. I think they only named the child Hashtag as a publicity stunt. People will do just about anything to be on the news.
I have no idea what hashtag is. If someone else does then mabey there will be trouble. Either way mabey hashtag life will have a normal life with the name.
I think baby names nowadays are getting crazy. I don't know why someone would want to name their child "Hashtag" or "Facebook." I think these children will grow up and get joked on at school and at home. I personally think it is very cruel to name your kids after social media.
I think its pretty funny and I dont think it will ruin his life. He will get picked on. Lets vote to change his name.

I think the baby name Hashtag, is unique. I think the kid will get ridiculed by other kids. In my personal opinion, I think the child's parent should have not named there child that name. Plus the twentieth have came out wierd names. But our names make us who we are.

I honestly think that this child won't always be bullied. People love twitter, and I myself is kinda addicted to twitter. This child's name is creative in a sort of crazy way, but it is. He might just get a little famous. Each person's name make us for who we are. It makes us unique. It's good to be different. I wish I was the only person in the world with my name. I'm just the only person in my SCHOOL with the name Daisy.
Honestly I think the name is pretty stupid for a human being, it kind of sounds like an animals name to me. He may or may not get bullied while growing up because of all the anti-bullying clubs and organizations going around, sooner or later there is going to be no bullying! I think social media is destroying some people's lives. Its different if you get on every once in a while, but when you go and name your baby girl Hashtag, thats a little extreme. I don't think hashtag is an appriate name to give a child or anything honestly, but besides that I thought that the video was intersting. Her topics were very good and kept my attention throughout the entire video.

I think the baby life is going to go in a positive and a negative way. It’s going to go in a positive way because the baby is basically already known around the world because of its name and the in the negative way because he is going to be pick on by kids and maybe adults when he gets older. I think if the parents like Twitter so much they should have gave the child a real name and then just had the nick name “Hashtag”.
A child's name is a very wonderful thing. When the parents decide what to name their child they usually decide what would go good with the last name or the give a background of how they want them to be and the qualities they want them to have. I personally do not have a problem with the name "Hashtag" because it's the parents decision. Honestly they are not the only people that picked a "silly" name for their child. What if "Hashtag" meant something special to them in their life. What if they think your name is, wierd, funny, or crazy. #Hashtag

This just does'nt make any sense. If I was him I would run away to twitter world were everything starts with hashtag, maybe then he would'nt get picked on 24/7. But in all honesty I would have never named a child hashtag, even bubba is better than that.

I don't think the name Hashtag is a good name for a human or even for a pet. The baby will have friends in life that wont care what his name is but he will have people joking on his name. When the baby gets older he could just tell people that is his nickname or he could just change his name. Who knows he might end up liking his name and not even pay attention to the people joking his name because he likes and may be even proud of his name.
I don't necessarily think that the name Hashtag would ruin his life. I think that his life will never be normal but even if he's picked on as a child he will always be unique and different. If I met someone named Hashtag I would probably just call them Hash, I think that would be a good nick name. But over all it is kinda random and the world could've done wiht out it.
Hashtag is a unique name to name a child. In the begining it would probaly be hard for the child to adjust. After a while it probaly wouldn't bother the child as much. A cool name like that, would make the child alot of friends. "Hey I'm #". (:

Most people don't even know what Hashtag is. Yea it's part of the way twitter works but those people might have though Hashtag was cute and not even realized that Hashtag was a number symbol#
