This week spare change was collected for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Last semester, we collected food for the local food bank and several classes sponsored children from The Angel Tree. Does this seem like a lot? In addition you have probably participated in a class/club fundraiser. Add this to the fundraisers you may participate in outside of school and the charities you are asked to give to and it can add up very quickly! In tough economic times, giving to charities normally falls off and they become more aggressive in their fund raising efforts.
So here are my questions for you. Is this too much? Do you feel like you are asked to give and give and give? Have you contributed to a charity this year? If so, who or what was it? Do you have a favorite charity or choose not to give to any charities.
My favorite charity is Stop Hunger Now.

I think what people are doing is really great helping the less fortunate. I do not think its to much in fact I think we can give more. I like all froms of charties.
I don't feel like I have to keep giving, because giving is voluntary. Sure, people pressure you to give, but it ultimately comes down to your decision. I have contributed to Relay for Life, which is one of my favorite charities. I also like the March of the Dimes. I was born prematurely and weighed less than three pounds. I like this charity because it gives the parents and the babies the money and the hope that they need.
I think giving money to charities is a great thing to do. In my opinion we all could give a little more, it shows how much we care. Every year my family and I give money to the Cancer Society and many more charities.
I give money to the charitie of my pocket. An yes i give to church an stuff like we did this week. But times are hard so i can't give but so much.
I don’t necessary think charities are too much to do or ask at all. I tried doing charity work but it was too much for me to handle because it takes up a lot of my time to do. I haven’t really did any charity work lately but I have put some money in our relay for life thing in school.
I don’t think that it is to much, and we aren’t asked to give much. The spare change in our pockets isn’t bad for a good cause. I’ve given to CHKD this year almost 4 times. Me and my dad have done some work there during the summer. CHKD is my favorite charity to give back to, I don’t really know why but I really like it.
Charity is kind of a pain but it helps people out though.I give money to the Kings Daugthers Hospital for research for kids.If you keeping giving you will save lives of millions of people.
Charity is a good thing. I love helping out for charity because it makes people happy. A smile on a persons face makes my day, so no I don’t thing all that charity work was too much. Helping others is never too much.
I think It's good to help others, that don'nt have less fortunate. My mom always tells me is better to give better than recives. :)
No, I defiantly don’t feel like I constantly give. I think charities are good, when people need help its kind to help them and give back to those less fortunate. I don’t really have a favorite charity, but I’ve given money before.
Keith Bryant: No I do not feel like this is too much, charities are a great way to give back to people. Yes I have donated to charities; I donated to the relay for life foundation. I am not really sure which is my favorite, all charities are just great.
No I don’t believe this is too much. Sometimes I feel like I am asked to give and give but I will if it for a good cause. No I have not given to a charity this year.
I think that giving to the less fortunate is great. I do not think that giving is harmful; some people really need the things that people give them. I really don’t have a favorite charity; I think that all charities are nice and should keep doing what they are doing for others.
I think people should donate to charities much more often. I think even though it's voluntary that we should all donate to charities. We forget that we have so much, and we take it for granted.I enjoy donating to any form of charity honestly.
I think that it’s not too much to ask to donate to charities. You only donate maybe three or four times a year and that not bad for 365 days out of the year. Two weeks isn’t bad. My favorite charity is relay for life considering my grandfather died of brain and lung cancer I feel very strongly about cancer and want to go into a career helping people who have been hospitalized by cancer.
I think giving money to the charities is a very thing to do considering what the charity is doing. Like the CHKD association with helping kids with a bad condition. I also with the other associations especially church to help the community.
I don't have a specific charity. I try to donate to all, if I can. I like to donate because it helps out others in need. They will probably need it more than I do.
I don't feel that it is too much to give to a charity. I feel joy when around Christmas time I can give at least a dollar to the salvation army on my way out of or into a store. It's nice to know that you have in some way helped out someone who is less fortunate than you.
I don't feel like it is to much to ask. Giving money to charities makes me feel good because I feel like im apart of somthing. Most the time my family and I give money to CHKD.
I think that people should give a little more. Why is it so hard to give a handful of change to charity when you aren't using it? I think it makes sense to give it up when you have the chance. But it's just my opinion. A handful of change can go a long way to a cancer patient. Just take the time to think about it.

No I have not yet given to a charity this year. I dont really give money to charities anymore because I have a personal sort of grudge against all types of charities. They always use the money they get from the fundraisers to make more commercials and more advertisements and never really do anything to help what they are advertising. At least, none that I've seen.
