I am sure that you have undoubtedly heard the song "Friday," performed by 13 year old 8th grader Rebecca Black. Rebecca's parents paid $2000 to vanity music label ARK Music Factory, so she could record a song in its' studio. Next she shot a video for the song. The studio then distributed the song and video. Rebecca has retained some of the rights of the song. Here is the music video. "Friday" has gotten about 74 million YouTube hits and lots of publicity, but mostly for being so bad. She finally responded to all the harsh criticism during a Good Morning America interview.
What is your opinion of the song and video. Does she deserve such negative criticism? Do you think she has talent. Do you think that she and Justin Beiber will sing the next tween hit song?

Ok I first heard this song because everybody was talking bad about it. So I watched the video yes the auto tune makes her voice sound techno and the video, who goes to a party at 13? I feel this video is so stupid and the only reason she has her video is because she is a spoiled brat and her parents paid for her career. The follow up videos are wrong yes but some are better than hers and they didn’t pay 50 grand. I feel bad for this girl but she did it to herself truthfully.
Really I hate the song. I hear the song all the time. It's stupid. Why did she put it on youtube. But although its been stuck in my head now. She sounds like a robot. But I'm not a hater I give her her props. She's not ashamed of her voice. But Idk why she do this song...BORING!!!
I don't like the song at all. I think she has talent but this song is not one of her talents. The song is very annoying.
I like the video, but i don't understand it. When i was 13 i wasnt aloud to go out to parties, it isnt really realistic in my opinion. But i don't think she deserves all the bad comments, no one does its really not needed.
I think the song and video is cute. I also think that it's wrong that people are picking on a young girl for displaying her talent. She probably will end up doing a duet with Justin Beiber. He's endured a lot of negative criticism as well.
I do not think she is a bad singer. The song "Friday" is ok but the Tecno kinda made it bad. I also think that "Friday" is not the worst video ever.
I think that her voice isn’t that bad, if she wouldn’t have edited her voice maybe people would like her song “Friday”. She doesn’t deserve that mean comments either. And you never know Justin might sing with her.
I think she doesn't sound very well but I mean if you don't like the song, dont listen to it. Its that simple. There is no need to tell her how bad she is and how she should "go cut herself". Thats just mean. Nobody is perfect. If someone who can't sing wants to go make a song public, then go for it.
I think that she has some talent. She does not deserve the criticism. They should have got her to sing the national anthem at the super bowl.
Well I don’t think the song is horrible or anything, but it’s not what I would listen to. This is more for younger kids like ten or eleven year olds, she’s only thirteen anyways. Yeah she has potential I think if she would have done a different song, if wouldn’t have sounded better and she wouldn’t have received as much criticism. Maybe her and Justin will do a song.
I don't like that song. It's so annoying. The whole Video makes no sense at all. Her voice is annoying. I don't think she has talent at all. I think she just wants to be famous. But yeah I hate it.
I personally do not like the song. It’s a bit annoying. I think that the criticism is a little harsh the poor girl is just trying to be big. Everyone has to try to make it big at some point. I do think Justin and her will have a duet, whether it’s good or not who knows.
My opion about the video is that its the worst video ever and her singing is bad.The video is not my taste in music.
I think that Rebecca Black does have talent like the in-terviewers said. Even though the song isn’t what everybody wants to hear, she’s still getting some type of advantage. Also, it was her first song, maybe she knows what to do in her songs to make them better and not get a lot of nasty comments. To me I think she has a shot at being a good singer.

I comletely despise this song. I do believe that much of the criticism is rather drastic, but somewhat justified. The only thing that should be criticized is the song itself for being one of the most monotonous and stupid songs ever made. Although I like the idea that anybody can record their own song and it become a hit on the internet, not everyone should record their own song.
I have been told by friends that she got her inspiration from justin bieber. Odlly enough though, on the music charts her song is number 5, whereas justin bieber is number 4. I cannot stand how rediculous this song is. It annoys me very greatly and if we play this song I will have to ask to leave the room or listen to my own prefferrable music.
I like the song. But I think she is that good to sing with Justin. Her song about basely talking about teenager life on Friday. People shouldn't be talking bad about her song. That's wrong!!
I actually like the song. Her voice does get annoying at some times in the video but overall I like the song. I do think that with a little more voice lessons she could have a possible future in the music industry. I could also see how the song could be annoying to some people although.
What i think about the video, hmmm? she can sing but saying friday over and over again can get annoying. That's the only thing wrong with the song.

I heard this song for the first time almost a month ago when my friends told me about it. At first I thought it was cute. But then I heard it multiple times, it got very annoying. It's not that she has no talent, but after hearing "It's Friday!" after a while gets to be very nerve racking. She does have talent because when she sung the National Anthem, she sounded pretty good. So she needs to go into country singing or something that doesn't involve pop or a ton of voice changes. That way she can get positive reviews instead of negative reviews.

Ok the video made no absolute sense. She's 13, why would her and her friends own a car at that age. I had a cellphone by then. And anyone can sing, it's just that her voice needed editing, or she needed more practice. I hated the song all together, along with the unexplained video. It's just my opinion, but I just absolutley disliked all of it.
I really don't like the song. I mean my only thing is if you don’t like the song that’s one thing but she doesn’t need to go kill herself because you don’t like the song. I feel bad that she hears all this criticism but why would you choose to do this to yourself.
I think it was bad. I think the video sucked. I always say there are some people that are not mean't for their dreams, she is one of them that weren't meant for it. She is too young for parties her parents paid for everything.

I think she has talent for sure but the song gets old after hearing it a few times. I think some of the comments made where to harsh. Justin and Rebecca should sing a duet together that might turn out bad but its worth a try.
