We could save a lot of money on putting people in jail just for using it. Some people believe that governments could raise money by legalizing it and taxing it! Arguments against legalization include the statement that it is a gateway drug, that leads to harder drug usage.

In my opinion I think that marijuana should be legalized. Many people use it just as well as the many more who will try it. I don't think it's a bad drug forreal.So,yeah I think it should be legalized. It can be an addiction just like ciggarettes, and there legal.
I think two opinions I do think that we should legalize it for helping raise money to help out our recession. Also I think that it shouldent because it helps lead to stronger dangerous drugs. It also leaves good effects on people.
I thank that weed should be legalizated. becuase we would really save alot of mony by puting people in jail with tax payers money. so thats just what i say.
My opinion is that, it should be legalized because I don't think that it harms you as much as people think it does. It people wanted to smoke it then they should be able to. I think cigarettes effect you more than weed. So, it should be legalized.
There are many controversies on the idea that marijuana should be legalized, but really there are few negative side effects to it. The truth is, that by itself, marijuana is not harmful in anyway, whereas, alcohol IS legal, and it causes millions of deaths each year. If we were to legalize it, we could tax it and give our nation an economic surplus. Therefore, it should be legalized.
This is a different blog. I believe weed is a drug for a reason. Im sure that it's illegal for a reason. I believe you should not smoke this drug or any drug. I don't believe in it.

I think we should legalize marijuana so that the government can earn money. Marijuana hasnt really killed anyone. So we should legalize it and just get high.. Go Green!!!
Weed is a gateway drug leading to other more dangerous drugs. I don't smoke whereas 70% of everyone does. It scewed up my brother's life and made my mom cry :( i was her shoulder so weed is not my friend. I don't think I'll be doing it any time soon. I'm not judging anyone who does smoke, many people are successful and smoke weed. But it got the best of of my brother. It's just not my thaaang :)
Marijuana should be leagal! What's wrong with it? Has anyone been killed from weed itself? Why take a perfectly good person and lock them away just for having a weed? Lock them up with killers, rapists, sex offenders, and hard drug users, as well as sellers? Biggg, waste of money and time! This can mess up your life, why does the legal system ban things like weed but promote alcohol and cigarettes? Marijuana is not harmful, it's just as bad as cigarettes infact! Its not fair to punish someone or take their freedom over WEED, its not like they went out and did some horrendous crime, it's just smoke!
I don't think it should be legalized, just because people are using it, at the moment, illegally and in the wrong way. It;s one thing if your using to help somebody, but it's another when you use it, just for the heck of it. SMOKING period, ISN'T good.
Personally I do think they should legalize it. It would keep more people out of jail. I mean they legalized alcohol when people kept sneeking it in the US so why not legalize weed? =)

I think they should legalize weed. the governemnt could make money if of it for sure. It might even help us get out of this recession.
I believe marijuana should be legalized because so many today smoke marijuana. The government could use this object as a way to gain money from taxes, never know may help our economy. There are other substances out there that have hurt people, nut not many deaths caused by marijuana.
I think that Marijuana should be legalized, because studies show that it stimulates your mind. I do think that there should be an age limit on it just like other products, because you don't want young children smoking. Those side effects are true, I have witnessed people who have been "high". Well I think it should be legalized. For two reasons one is that it’s not really bad it’s just the stupid people that use it. And America could get a lot of money from it because there are a lot of people that smoke weed.
I think it could be debated. Some would say that it should and others will say that it shouldn't, they say that it helps people who have disease such as cancer when they are going through chemo and then there are people who say it is dangerous. As for my opinion I don't really have one, the way it see it is, no matter if it is legal or not people are still going to use it so it really doesn't matter.
I think that leaglizing weed should be illegal because, unlike prohibition, the legalization of weed would cause drug wars between rival gangs making America inhospitable. The only place that I know of where weed is legal is in Amsterdam after midnight. The legalization of weed would destroy America.
