Earth Day is a day where people take time out to contemplate how their actions impact the planet on which we live. So, how do you "observe" or "celebrate" Earth Day? Do you try to take care of the planet every day of the year, only on this one day, or not at all?
Here is a thought. We can all make a positive impact on the environment if we do just one simple thing. For example, turn off the lights when you are not in the room. Turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth and turn it on when you rinse your toothbrush. Or, recycle your papers. Too often, I notice students throwing papers in the trash instead of using the recycle bins in the classroom, and throwing non recyclable items such as tissues and food wrappers in the recycle bins.
Please tell the group the one thing you do or can do to help the environment. If we all try to do just one thing it will make a big difference. My thing is to recycle paper! What is your thing?

Earth day is a very important day of the year. Some people might not think so, but it is. What i would do on Earth day is use less light or plant some flowers or even a tree maybe!

One thing I would do to help the environment is, pick up trash around my area. Trash is thrown everywhere, everyday, all over the place. It's a very bad thing to just throw trash on the ground or in other words liter. Animals could get hold to it and choke on it or it could get in water and the water could get polluted.

Earth day is very important to the world. If everybody contributed to this day then it would be a more cleaner and better enviorment.

On Earth Day we really don’t do anything. My Girl Scout troop used to go clean up and stuff but this year my youth group decided to clean the road our church is on. We always clean it but this time is was the day before Earth Day. One thing I can do to help my environment is not to litter. It’s a habit and it’s very hard to stop.

I think that something we should do is pick up more trash. There is so much trash on the roads that we really need to try an stop it from being thrown out. It is a terrible thing that makes the world look trashy and dirty.
I think Earth Day is very important to the world because everybody can contribute to help the Earth. Everyone can help pick up trash or save energy. Or by saving water to help the fish.

I think we could stop littering and pick up more trash. There is always trash somewhere that is polluting the earth. Its pretty much the easiest thing to do.

I think Earth day is something really interesting, because how it was established. Earth day was established when the earth was discovered. But when was the earth discovered? After the successful Apollo 11 mission in 1956. On the April 21, 1956 when humans landed on the moon and discovered the planet Earth.
Earth Day is very important, some people don't think so but it is. Every day or at least on Earth Day someone should try to do something to help the Earth.

Earth day is a good thing, it gives people a chance to do some good. You can go and pick up trash on the roads. Or you can just separate the recyclables. I personally did nothing but I felt bad.
One thing I do to support our Earth is not littering.
Earth Day is important because it brings many issues to our attention. Things we could do to cut down pollution are stop littering, and get fuel efficient vehicles. Doing these things could help save the Earth one step at a time.
I think Earth Day is really important. If i see trash by my road or somewhere I can pick it up then I do and throw it away. Everybody should do their part.
I live by a dirt road, when I walk down it, I'll take a trash bag with me. The road always has something along its ditches. Earth Day is a day celebrated everyday in my household! Saving the Earth one day at a time!

Earth Day is a very important day. Most people don't think so, but it helps keep the world clean. Everyone could help out and prevent the Earth from looking trashy.
I never knew that it was a such thing as earth day. Now that I know I am going to be celebrating it every year. Just because, it seems like a pretty big day in history.
