It's Time to Start Blogging!!

After much discussion, it is time to begin blogging as a class.
Thank you for checking out this blog. This is intended to be a teaching tool for my classes. Just a few quick rules. First, be respectful, tolerant, and positive in your comments. Remember that this is an open blog and anyone (including your classmates) can see what you write.  Do a good job!  Second, you must post to my blog to earn your full class participation grade for that day. We blog on many, but not all days. Thirdly, your comments must be grammatically correct and spelled properly. Fourth, have fun!  Now before you post, let's discuss my expectations for this activity in greater detail.

Tell us what you think of this. For this and all comments, remember to respond using a full paragraph (3-5 sentences).

Mr. Downing’s expectations for this class are great. They all make good sense and we all need to follow them. If we don’t obey them it would be horrible. It would not make sense to blog on this section if it’s not about it.

I think that blogging will be fun. You might find something out that you never knew before. It will be a good experience for everyone. I also think that the expectations for the class are really good.

I think this is a good way to express student opinions. It lets students show how they feel about Mr. Downing's classroom and activities. That way if a student doesn't like the topic they can express teir thoughts.

Mr. Downing you did a very great job on this website. I like it because of the fact that it gives students the opportunity to get away from some of these bad websites people have going on these days. It’s also kind of fun because people can make appropriate comments about different topics and pictures.

I think that the rules Mr.Downing has for his blog is a great way for us to be respectful and to blog correctly. I like how the blog is creative and makes students want to look at it. I’m sure this is a very good way to expand our learning capabilites of learning how to blog correctly and respectfully.

I think that this is a good way to express student opinions, or views in Mr.Downing's classroom. There might be a student who hasn't had this class and wants to know how it is, so they come up here and read the comments. I think i will enjoy this!

I think it would be a great opportunity for people like me to express their feelings about the most random stuff. that makes my heart warm and fuzzy to see people type their comments nicely.

I believe it can be a good way to share your opinion. If people can act mature and there age then it can be a good tool. I’ve never blogged before but it seems pretty cool.

This blog is meant to show your opinions on a subject or topic in a respectful manner. If it is not respectful then Mr. Downing has the right to delete your comment and give you no credit. You should give your opinions in a honest but, respectful manner.

I'm not sure yet what I think about the blogging. I guess it can be a way to express and share opinions about certain things. I'll judge the idea after a couple of weeks.

Jazzmine Bynum,
I think that a blog is a very important instrument to use for a keyboarding class. Students should be able to express their individual opinions as well as learning about the opinions of their peers. Since the blog is opinionated it is important to keep all comments descent and respectful. But, overall I think that the blog will be very fun and important.

I think that blogging is a wonderful idea for class because it gives us students a creative way to talk about important events and practice our typing skills at the same time. Blogging is fun and helpful. As long as everyone remembers to be respectful ,even if they do not agree with the topic, then I think that blogging will be an amazing experience for all.

Mr. Downing I do believe that this will be a very interesting thing for the class. I am excited to hear what people have to say about the topics you may bring up. Alsothe rules you put up are not to much to handle for anyone who cares about following them. Again i think this will be a very interseting tool for your classes.

I think that a blog for this class is a good idea. I think that it will let us students experience expoling the web. I hope that we continue to do this.

Blogging is a great way to express your own opinions, and ideas. If a student does not like something that the teacher did, they could blog about it. It's fun to do, but can also be very diffcult you don't want to say something out of the ordianry you have to be professional about it, because alot of people are going to read it. I recommend blogging to many students.
