You have heard of Mickey Mouse but did you know that he has a brother? You might not have. Mickey has a brother and his name is Oswald the lucky rabbit. His name might have lucky in it but he is not so lucky. Oswald was Walt Disney's first creation. He was one of the best cartoons ever but about a year after he was made Walt Disney lost the rights to him. Eventually this rabbit has become unloved, forgotten and replaced. Poor little Oswald, he was so cute and had to get replaced. Even though Mickey is a much better creation and has had a long successful life I feel they should have given Oswald a chance, but that’s not Walt Disney’s fault.
Oswald may have been forgotten becaused he has no excitement. Looks to me that he's kind of boring. Eventhough he was the first creation, Mickey Mouse runs with his actions.
I don't think he deserved what happened to him, It's really sad actually. There really wasn't a reason for Walt Disney to do what he did, I mean they were getting a lot of money and stuff for the cartoon.
I think that it was unfair that Disney lost his rights, and that Oswald was forgotten. But, without any of that happening, Mickey Mouse would not have appeared. Many children love Mickey and his crew, and I think that even without the loss of Oswald's rights, it was only a matter of time for something new to come about. I think that it was very unfair, but at least some good came from it.
Well, I don't think it was really fair that the cartoon character was replaced. But since Walt Disney was under a contract I guess that's just what had to happen. I never knew about "Oswald" until now.
Yes I heard that Oswald was Mickey’s mouse’s brother. I don’t think that he deserved what he got. Oswald looked like a magnificent drawing. Things like this should not be forgotten,
I never heard of Oswald and from me just seeing him in the video reminded me alot of Mickey Mouse. I don't think that was fair of what happened to him, I just think that they never gave it a chance for Oswald to be Walt Disney. i watch Disney Channel all the time and ther little symbol is the shape of Mickey Mouse head. It shouldv'e been Oswald.

I think that it may not seem fair but a contract is a contract. It would have been better if they could have kept the legend of Oswald going. I didn’t know that this character was Walt Disney’s first, kind of neat.
I think that Oswald story was really sad. It's sad to be unloved forgotten and replaced. I thought he was super then Mickey. But at least I know how was Wait Disney started. :)
I think that Oswald is just a drawing, and if they wanted to they could just make shows with him. It’s not really that big of a deal. They could always sign a new contract. But yes it was wrong but at the same time if that didn’t happen, then Mickey Mouse wouldn’t have been created

Yes Oswald episode sucked. I saw some Oswald episodes when I was little and I dint like them. Sorry Kyle I just don’t like him.
I don't think he deserved what happened to him. I think it could have been handled another way instead of him loosing his career. I also think that he could come back with his career.

I think he didn't deserve what happened to him. I feel bad for him. But Mickey Mouse is a favorite by many people. Mickey did get Walt plenty of money but, Oswald was missed i'm sure.
I think Oswald was just the beginning. It was unfortunate to what happened to him. I have to say Mickey Mouse is way better!
I don't think it was fair that one of Disney's first creations was replaced. Ableit was Walt Disney's first succesful works he should havegotten more attention. But on the bright side at least he's getting more of the attention he deserves. For example, we're blogging about Oswald, so that means that someone is paying attention.
I do not think that should have happen to Oswald. They should have made the show with Oswald and Mickey mouse so no one would be left out. I don't think Mickey should have like it, if he was replace by his brother.
I don't think that what happened to Oswald was fair. I think that it was a great cartoon. I feel that if it continued it would have been a good entertainment program.
I think that Oswald the rabbit is cute and innocent. Mickey mouse is cool too but they shouldn’t have replaced Oswald they could have worked together. Poor quality shouldn’t have had anything to do with it.
I think that its sad what happened to Oswald, but things now still get replaced. I think its sad that ive never heard of him until now. It seems to me that Disney is having no problem with out him.
I had never even heard of Oswald until I read about him today. He's a cute little character and I mean I saw that Walt Disney was under contract. It wasnt at all fair for the replcement of him. But I will admit that mickey mouse is just as awesome as ever :)
I had no Idea that Mickey had an older brother! He's adorable and seems sweet. It's a terrible thing that happened to poor Oswald. But I guess that Walt Disney had no choice since he was under that contract. If they brought Oswald back, I bet it would bring up their publicity. They should try it some time.

I don't really think it matters whether he deserve it or not. The fact of the matter is he is a cartoon character and he doesn't really have a say in the matter of if he was treated properly. If he was sold by Disney then he legaly belongs to the company he was sold to. Mickey Mouse was brought in to replace him because I'm guessing profit plummeted after the loss of Oswald. Therefore, Mickey was created and Disney is back in business.
