The Birds

On December 31, 2010 thousands of birds began falling from the sky dead in Beebe, Arkansas, thirty minutes from the beginning of the new year. Days later in Louisiana more birds fell from the sky, also dead. Also in this time period fish began dying in the Chesapeake bay. In England, thousands of dead crabs began washing up on numerous shores. On top of all this, bees are disappearing all over the country, something that has been happening for years, has now reached dangerous levels.

Many speculate that these recent happenings have something to do with the 2012 predictions of the Mayan civilization. After reading the links posted in this blog do you feel that this could be related to the Mayans? Are you worried about these sudden unexpected deaths in the world? What impact do you think the drop in the bee population will have on the world?

Don't forget to respond in at least 3 sentences.

Many experts are still trying to explain away these events as mere coincidence. However, I believe that it is more than just coincidence. These events may or may not signify the beginning of the end, however it is odd that they are occurring this close to the time the Mayans predicted that the world will end.

I think that the world may end, but then again it might not. There are alot of belivers and non-belivers of the 2012 events. The facts are supported for it to be but the Mayan may be wrong. That would mean this would be one big mistake.

I feel that this could be related to the Mayans predictions. I am very worried about the sudden death of the birds and also the 2 million fish that died suddenly. I think the decrease in the bee population will have a big impact on the world.

No, I don't think that this relates to the Mayans. I am not worried about these unexpected deaths, because everyone has to die someday. It might be just a coincidence, or someone could have planned this. I am glad, that the population of bees have decreased. Otherwise, all they would do is bother me.

I don’t think the deaths have to do anything with a Mayan civilization. I am a little worried about all the deaths but I don’t think it’s the end of the world. I still have so much in my life. I think the bees dying would have a big effect since they keep the flowers alive be taking their pollen and make honey for us to eat. Will all the plants die with no pollen and the big question is, are people next to die?

Actually, I don't think it relates to the Mayans civilization. I am not worried at all about these unexpected deaths that have happened. I think the only impact about the disappearing bees would be that there won't be hardly any honey in the world and the pollination will probably slow down.

I'm glad that the population of bees are decreasing. I'm allergic to them. I'm now starting to worry about the unexpected deaths of our animals. If they all die, where would we get our meat from that we eat? I hope they find answers soon!

Unknown said...

I really don't know. I'm not worried about it that much. No more honey for anyone.

I'm not real sure. I'm pretty freaked out about the whole thing its not cool how they all died. I guess that's what happens with global warming

I'm really not worried about the death of this world. About the bees I think that with all the bees dying it will effect the amount of honey that we get thats about it. Everything should be fine thats my prediction for 2012.

It's creepy. It makes you think about whats gonna happen or if it was just a coincidence. I
don't know what to think.

The Mayans do not have anything to do with the birds dying. I do not believe this is true. The deaths are probably due to natural causes.

I am not worried about the birds and fish dying here lately. The cause of this is because I think it might be a disease in the air and water that has not affected humans yet. The bee population will stay the same I think.

I do not believe it's part of the prediction. I believe it is because of the pollution that everyone contributes to. I am worried about these deaths. If the bees go away who will pollinate the flowers? If nobody pollinates the flowers they will die.

I do not believe this has to do with the Mayans or the world ending in 2012. It may just be a coincidence. I think the decrease in bees may not really have an effect. This is nothing to worry about.

I do not think it is related to the mayans. I am not worried what happens happens. Less flowers will be pollinated.

I don't think it relates to the Mayans. It just might be a coincidence or something. I don’t believe in 2012. Never have, never will.

I think this is very intresting that this happened so close to the 2012 predictions. Now if ther is anything else that happens this year, then they have to accept 2012. But I hope the Mayans where wrong.

I don’t think this has to do with the Mayan calendar but then again I do. I have pros and cons about believing about this Mayan end of the world stuff. I think the drop of population of bees means that some plants and flowers won’t get pollinated.

I have I kind of believe in this Mayan prediction, but then again I do. It could be related to the Mayan calendar, but then again it could not be, who knows. I think the bee population drop means a lot of the plants will not get pollinated.

Travis said...

The Mayan's prediction might be right. Sometimes I am worried about the year 2012 happening. When the bees start dying the plants will die which means less food.

I don't think that the world will end in 2012. From history we learned that it was thought that the Mayans died off before they could finish the calender. I'm not afraid of dieing because I believe if we try our best to reach perfect salvation then there is nothing to be worried about. I think maybe because of this dying of the animals means we should put away the games and get ready for death. Plus, death is not up to us. When we are ready then we will die. Until then, we should live our lives to the fullest like tomorrow is not promised.

I think it's related to the Mayans. I am worried that we will die. That would mean this would be very bad.

I think the whole 2012 thing is rediculous. I think the reason all the animals are falling dead from the skies and fish and crabs are showing up out of the sea is because of all the polution form humans. So it is our fault.

I don't think that these strange events are taking place because of the Mayan predictions. However, it is strange that all of these strange deaths have occurred. Though I have no idea as to why they have happened.

Unknown said...

I honestly do not believe in the Mayan predictions. I believe things happen for a reason and I don't think anyone could know when the world may possibly end. I think the decrease in the bee population will definitely alter many things, but we aren't in dire need of them.

Lekedria said...

I don't think this has anything to do with the Mayan predictions. Maybe it's just an animal thing. With the bee's dying, it really doesn't bother me because I don't eat honey.

I don't think the world will end. I feel that this could not be related to the Mayans Predictions. I am glad the population of bees have decreased.

Unknown said...

I think it could be related to the Mayan theory. I'm not too worried about this just cause there might be a reasonable explanation for all these deaths. The bees dying off might have a big impact because bees make honey and that’s one important fact.

Holly said...

I think that it can be related to the Mayans, its way more than a coincidence. I'm not really worried about these sudden events. I think that the drop of the bees will only impact flowers blooming and other plants.

I don't believe in the 2012 Mayan calender predictions. Unexpected deaths have been occuring but, it could be anything to do with a possible unhealthy enviroment or certain wheather conditions.
They have said that the 2012 Mayan calender had run out of time, yet that doesn't mean the time would run out in the world at that particular time.

I don't think the deaths of the birds have anything to do with the Mayan civilization. I also don't believe that it has anything to do with the world ending anytime soon. I hope all the bees don't die!

Oh my gosh, this is all a load of crap. I don't believe any of this. Just because some animals/insects are dying doesn't mean the whole world is going to end! There are so many animals that were around and became extinct. Take the Bald Eagle for example, they were on the Endangered Species List, and we saved them. Why can't we do the same with all the other animals/insects? I'm not worried about the "sudden deaths" of people. Everyone has to die someday. Honestly, the Chesapeake Bay is really polluted, which could be why the fish died. Our air is polluted and the phone wires, cell phone towers and glass doors also kill birds. The crabs, well I'm not sure about England, but the world ending in 2012 is bogus! The world was supposed to end back in 2000! well "supposed" to. Before scientist run their mouths about the world ending and we're all gonna die, they need to do some SERIOUS experimental tests so the population doesn't go believing everything. But that's just my opinion.

I don't think the world is going to end in 2012. I do think something is going to happen, maybe a war or something significant. I don't think this relates to the Mayans at all.

I think it has something to do with twenty twelve. The bees are gonna have a huge affect on the world sense they do so much with the plants. The birds have fell before.

The world could end at anytime. The Bible says that know one will no when the world will end. We should all be prepared when it happens.
