American Idol is back!
Did you watch last night's first episode of "American Idol"? I will admit that I am addicted to American Idol and have been for several years. I have enjoyed watching folks like Kelly Clarkson, Daughtry, David Cook, Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson perform. Of course some of my favorite moments were courtesy of Sanjaya Malakar, William Hung and Bikini Girl. Obviously American Idol has given us some highlights and low lights. Any favorites?
But look carefully at the picture. Paula has moved on, replaced by Ellen. And there is recent news of Simon leaving after this season. What do you think of that? Let's watch a few videos.

I don't really watch American Idol. So, I didn't see that episode. My all time favorite was Jennifer Hudson. I think Ellen will be a better judge than Paula. I think it will be a large improvement.
I'm sorry, but I have rarely ever watched American Idol before. I do not keep up with it or have a favorite. I simply do not enjoy watching it.
I think that American Idol is an alright show. I used to watch it but since Paula left and it's not good. My favorite singers from that show is Carrie Underwood and Chris Daughtry.
I like watching American Idol its funny to sit there and watch people who think they can sing. Its always funny to hear what Simon has to say if the were bad.
I used to love American Idol. I don't really watch it now because it doesn't interest me. Paris was my favorite contestant.
I think that Simon leaving is bad, becasue he seems to no more than the other judges do about singing. I also like Simon cause when a bad singer comes into the room he always say's something funny. And I dont really watch the only time I ever watch is when my mom looks at it. Thanks for the blog.
I myself don't watch the show that often. I acctually watch a show called So You Think You Can Dance (made by the same producers). My favorite singer from the show is Daughtry.
I never was interested in American Idol. Only thing i watched was the auditions for the stupidity. but now that Simon is gone, I definitely wont watch it. If Hugh Laurie (Dr. House) was in place of Simon as Dr. House, but not likely.
I watched a little bit of it last night. I don't think that it's going to be the same without Paula and it definitely won't be the same with out Simon next year. I really like Carrie Underwood, David Archuleta, Kris Allen, and Daughtry who have all come from the show. :)
I love American Idol! I missed like an hour of it last night because of the basketball game though. I was sad when Paula left because even though she can be annoying, the show is just going to be different. I don't really like Kara that much, and I think adding Ellen was weird. She has no musical talent or experience, they should've used someone better. I will be mad if Simon leaves, he makes the show entertaining and he always has something to say. I like the most recent idol, Kris Allen, and I also like several of the other winners and runner-ups. American Idol is a good show and it's really funny and entertaining.
I enjoy watching American Idol with my family, we always get a good laugh! My favorite person that has been on the Idol is Jennifer Hudson. I think when Simon leave the show might not get as many viewers because Simon is so mean but in a funny way.
I don't watch American Idol. There are few things I feel very stubborn and narrow-minded about than modern music. I am a fan of many different types of bands, and I do listen to a diverse range of sounds. However, modern music is shifting towards rap music, which I'm not a huge fan of. Besides this, talent is a growing rarity in newer music. I can't stand new rock. I grew up under the heavy influence of bands like Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Pink Floyd, and Santana. I have bagan to reach out into different sounding bands such as Modest Mouse and Iron Maiden, but honestly I feel that music is dead for me. I can't appreciate it. I don't necessarily hate it- after all, someome gets pleasure out of it. However, I'll play Sublime before any rap song every day of the week. I missed the era of when music had a true message. It was a way of expressing yourself, and I just can't find that in modern music. Call me hard-headed.
I think the changes will be okay, but I don’t think it will be better than the other session. My favorite American Idol contestant was David Archuleta. I like the song he did with Hannah Montana.

I wont watch idol after this season beacuse it was simon's show. Simon was really the only reason I watched. It's so funny when he puts people down.

I did not watch American Idol last night. I think it is really funny. I don't like the last American Idol winner.
American Idol is a great show. However I think it all ready hit its peak and is now on a decline. When Simon leaves the show it will probably end soon after. My new favorite singer on the show is the man who sang, “pants down”. He was really funny.

I don't watch American idol that much. I just like watching people make themselves look dumb. Simon leaving is like the worst idea ever, the show won't even be good.

Hello Mr. Downing, I dont watch American Idol at all. I use to watch just the first part. I forgot all about it to be honest. It's not going to be good anymore cause all the judges are leaving. I don't enjoy watching it
I didn't see that episode. I don't even think i watched the final part of the season. But I absolutely love the auditions. It's so hilarious to see people come up their and embarrass their selves.
I think American Idol is a good show. I don’t watch it much, but my favorite person that was on American Idol was. Fantasia Barrino she was on American Idol in 2004. I also think it would be very different with out Simon on the show.
I don’t watch American Idol but it’s not a bad show. I don’t watch it because of Simon, he is really rude. If I went to the American Idol show and if Simon said something rude to me I would have to fuss him. I wouldn’t go to the show because I cant sing.
