Check out the tallest building in the world. The Burj Kahlifa in Dubai opened on Monday. At 168 stories and 828 meters (2,716 feet) tall, it is twice as tall as the Empire State building. By the way that is about half a mile long!
The second tallest free standing structure at about 1800 feet is the CN Tower in Toronto. From 1932 to 1967 the tallest building in the world was the Empire State Building.

Wow! That is a tall building! The tallest building I have ever been in is the Seattle Space Needle. That was a very tall building, and it has a restaurant at the top of it.
I have never been in a really tall building. I think the tallest building I have been in was Harbor Park around the upper level. I was there to watch a baseball game, but since i was so high up it was hard to see good.
