They are coming and you can not avoid them. It is hard to imagine anything more stressful than these. That is right, I am talking about SOL tests. Doesn't it seem that everyone is talking about SOLs?WHS SOLs start two weeks from today. Are you ready?
Teachers stress over them. Parents stress over them. Students definitely stress over them. Do they cause you a lot of stress? What do you think of them? If you could, would you change them and how? Please tell us what you think of them and if you would make any changes to the format.

I think they are actually pretty easy. I have to take one for US History, but it's going to be so easy. The AP Test was much harder. So I'm not really worried about it.
no i don’t really stress over SOLs i think there just basically common sense, i think you have been learning all year long and now it is the time for this one big test, it just marks that we don’t really have that much longer in school for me.
Well I'm not that worried about SOLs. To me they are just another test that goes on forever. I wouldn't change any of it because it wouldn't matter, I would still have to take it.
I think the SOLs aren't as bad as some people make them seem. They are definitely annoying but they aren't normally very hard depending on thee class. I wouldn't change the format of them because tests can't get much easier than bubbling in a little circle. =]
I can't stand SOL's they are the worst thing to ever happen to a school. They hinder teachers from really being able to teach what students need to know. This puts so much stress on students and teachers. I really want them to just disappear.
They do not cause any stress for me due to the fact that they are realitivly easy tests that are designed to allow the average student to pass. I feel they are much easier than need be and should be done away with in most courses except your basic high school courses and middle school courses. If I could change them I would get rid of them since I feel they do not properly gauge ones understanding of the course.
Yes, if it was up to me we would not have SOL's. I feel as if it's not fair that we do so well all semeseter long but at the end it doesn't matter because us passing depends on passing the SOL test or not. It's too stressful and overwhelming, and thats probably why a lot of students can't pass because they get so scared. Also it's hard to remember everything you have done in that class so far.
I honestly don't care anymore!! I have one more SOL to take and i'm done for the rest of my life!! The SOL I have to take is English and it is not going to be hard so no i'm not stressing over it, it's just another day!!!!!!!!!!
I hate SOL test time. I stress over them the whole time. I wish there was no such thing. If I could I wouldnt have them, it would make the end of a school year alot stressful.
There is no reason to stress over SOL tests. They are common sense. No, I do not worry about them and I would not change them, but if I could I would do away with them. I can't stand standardized tests!
I would not make any changes. Yes they are stresful, but I am not too worried about them I have confidence, and a life, and a lot more things to worry about. Yes they are prety big tests, but nothing I don't think I can handle.
I am super nervous about SOLs. But, I am so glad that I finally figured out what it means. I have Geometry and World History I to take. And I am acutally going to study for it.
I think Sol's stress people to the limit. I just don't like the test at all so I say get rid of them.
SOLs are not as bad as they seem. They’re actually pretty easy. As long as you pay attention in class and do your work, the SOL is very passable. SOLs are a nuisance because the teachers have to teach you what is on the SOLs. This leaves little time to go over other important lessons in the class. SOLs are not hard but can get in the way of true learning.
Sols don't really bother me because I study for them every time they come around. When they come I won't be stressed at all. All I do is study.
Wow just hearing the word SOL gets my nervous. I am so nervous about SOLs, although, I'm happy that i know what it actually means this year. I am taking Geometry and World History I.
it will be hard for me i don't like takeing Sols.

To me, SOL's arent that hard. They are designed to allow the average student to pass. Its really not that hard, especially after studying. Most classes I've had, we took last year's SOL's the first day, and I've passed every one of them. The only thing I don't really understand is the way they score them. Why 600?
