They are called "Novelty Songs." Songs that you may only hear once or twice and totally forget or remember for a long time. Wikipedia defines a novelty song as: a silly or nonsensical song, performed principally for its comical effect.During the 1960's the most popular comic strip was "Peanuts." Several television specials starring Charlie Brown and his friends were on the air. In 1967 the rock and roll band "The Royal Guardsmen" recorded the novelty hit "Snoopy's Christmas" about a World War I Christmas Eve dogfight between Snoopy and the German air ace "The Red Baron."

This was my first time hearing the song. I thought the video was rather cute. If it was a regular video, I most likely wouldn’t pay attention to it. I like the peanuts theme. I you listing to the words, it’s kind of informative. I think novelty songs are meant to be educational in a funny, comical way.
I enjoyed the video it was very entertaining. I have not heard that novelty song before but I have heard others. Novelty songs are very entertaining but then again they do get annoying. I don’t have a favorite novelty song that I can think of right now. I think that novelty songs are fun to listen to at first but then they do get annoying after a while. A lot of novelty songs are not annoying most of them are rather entertaining it really just depends on what song it is.

I think the video was entertaining. I have never heard of a novelty song before. The video we watched was telling a story and at the same time entertaining us. I think that novelty songs are to put a humorous affect on you. It contains unusual lyrics and background music with a catchy rhythm. Personally, I think that it is a fun way of learning.
That was funny; most novelty are annoying. That one wasn’t annoying it was some what funny. I never have heard it before. My all time favorite novelty songs are the free credit report.com commercial. Everyone knows what those are.
The video was funny and entertaining. However the music got annoying after a while. I had not heard it before. I do not think that all novelty songs are annoying. Only the songs that make no sense are annoying. This novelty song was not annoying at first, but when it started repeating it got a little annoying. Other than the repeating of most of the song, it was overall entertaining.
Of all on the “Novelty Songs” I’ve heard, I like this one the most because I like Snoopy. I thought the video was kind of funny the way it went along with the words. I can’t say I’ve heard this song before, but I’ve heard songs like it. Although they are meant to be entertaining, most novelty songs I’ve heard are annoying, and no, I don’t have a favorite.
The video was kind of fun. Snoopy was like riding on an airplane and the kids were dancing and playing instruments they were my favorite parts. In my opinion novelty songs are kind of funny. I don’t have a favorite novelty song. I’ve listen to some before they were really funny.

The video and the novelty were nice. This is my fist time hearing the novelty. If I was to myself and had a choice to look up some novelties I don’t think I would. Not saying that it was bad but I wouldn’t listen to novelties on my own. The video was funny. The way Snoopy and his friends were dancing was the part that I enjoyed the most.
I enjoyed this presentation. It was an awesome song and was fairly humorous. It tells an important story as well. In this world, everyone seems to have a list of enemies, or at least people they don't like. The holiday seasons are always a good time to change that; destroy boundaries and make friends with people you couldn't or didn't before. I've never really cared about Christmas. It seems to materialistic and most people have forgotten its true meaning; to be together with those you care about, and to care a little more about those you are with. I had forgotten that. I'll try to start getting into the spirit of the holidays, whatever they may be for the people around me.

I am pretty sure I’ve heard this song once or twice. The song seemed like sort of a cheesy Christmas recording to me. Although a tad bit annoying, Christmas songs like “Snoopy’s Christmas” are played constantly throughout the holidays, and without them, Christmas wouldn’t be the same. Novelty songs give winter a bright and upbeat soundtrack that can’t be replaced. I couldn’t imagine going a whole winter break without hearing chipmunks singing Christmas carols. My favorite holiday novelty song has to be “The Chanukah Song” by Adam Sandler. The song first explains how Jewish kids feel left out during Christmas. Sandler then lists more and more celebrities who are Jewish to make the kids feel better about themselves. The song can seem “politically incorrect” to some people, but to people like me, this song is hilarious.
I have heard this song before, and I love listening to it. It's an upbeat song so it's just a very good song. The music video is really cute and who doesn't love snoopy? Novelty music is not something I listen to often, but I do not find it annoying at all. This is my favorite novelty song that I have heard so far. I actually enjoy novelty songs. I have heard this song before around Christmas time. This song is funny and entertaining in my opinion. I think that novelty songs are good to help you remember famous sayings or songs that remind you of formulas. My favorite novelty song is by School House Rock. The song helps you remember the Preamble. Some of these songs can be very annoying but many of them are funny and entertaining at the same time.
I do not like this novelty song in particular; but I do like most of the Peanuts songs. I do not have a favorite nov-elty song though; I just like the Peanuts songs. Out of the two videos we watched I liked the one with Snoopy in it thee best. It was just easier to watch than the men doing nothing. I have never herd of a novelty song until today. I think they are meant to be educational and funny. The song was educational, but funny, not too much. The song did teach me some information about the First World War. I wouldn’t watch the clip over and over again.
The video was entertaining. The tune was pretty catchy but the song it’s self didn’t make sense to me. To be honest, I’m glad they used Snoopy in their video because if not it wouldn’t have been half as appealing. Everyone has to love the Peanuts char-acters so I did like it even though I didn’t catch on with the war theme and how it mixed in with Christmas. It wasn’t my favorite but it was pretty good.
The song was kind of catchy in my opinion. It's not something I would listen to usually though. I have never heard this song before, but it is probably my favorite. If I was forced to listen to this like everyone in America is forced to listen to Christmas songs any where they go during the holidays, it would probably get annoying. If I heard it like once every year around Christmas, I think I wouldn't mind it to much. The music video was kind of cool because I remember watching all the Char-lie Brown movies when I was little.
The video to me was very funny and entertaining. Of course I had never heard the song or seen the video before. But I have seen many of Snoopy’s shows on television. After watching this video, it is hard to listen to it again. Sometimes I think that novelty songs are annoying. That are annoying because the music is so unusual. I think that it is creative because the song reflects on World War I. I like the fact that Snoopy was flying an "airplane" because they had not been used in war yet. The movie was very funny and comical. I really like old comics like snoopy because he always had a story to tell. I think that both music videos were very up beat and I also thought that it had a bit of humor. I am not familiar with the guys that are singing it but I do like it. I also like the way they had snoopy on top of the dog house and pretending that he was flying an airplane. It was very cute! The fact that it is talking about World War I is a very smart idea. This music may be old and probably out of style but I like it. And I also think that it went with the cartoon characters the way that they were dancing and stuff. Although it may not be the kind of music that you may like or have an interest in I still think that you should at least give it a try even if you cant stand it. Like me for instance. It's really not my type of music but it's pretty much my first time hearing it and I kind of liked it. It does'nt hurt to give a try. At least not for me it does'nt.
The song is ok. The video was interesting. It’s very different from any type of music from my age. I did like how they played on a bed thing such as the war, and compared it to snoopy, something that everybody knows. I love The Peanuts!
