Welcome to my blog. My name is Roland Downing and I will be teaching two blocks of Keyboarding and a block of Finance at Windsor High School in Windsor, VA. I am pleased and honored to be here! I will be adding posts, thoughts and other items during the school year, so check back often.

A Veteran is a person who has served there country in one of the five parts of the Militaty. Veterans day is very important in American history. My great grand father was in WWII. He fought in Germany along with many other brave soldiers. My mother has letters that he wrote home to his family during the War. All of them say that he is somewhere in Germany. The government would not allow him to tell his family exactly where he was or the letter would be burned and never get sent home. He never told stories about the war and we never asked because it was just known not to ask, actually it was never even talked about in his company...
