Did He Really do That?

By now you have seen the trip numerous times. It seems that a New York Jets coach was tyring to keep a Miami Dolphins player from getting to the play during last Sunday's game. Sal Alosi's gaffe has been viewed by many people and was played back several times by CBS during the game. And, of course it has shown up numerous times on other networks, including YouTube.

Watch the video (hyper linked in the above paragraph) and read the news article. How much was Alosi fined? The answer is in two parts! Did he get fired? If you were the New York Jets owner, what would you have done?

Were his actions justified? What would you have done if you were there?

That should be enough questions. Now tell us what you think. Remember three sentences minimum and proofread!

Sal Alosi is suspended for the rest of the season. Sal Alosi was fined $25,000. Alosi also said, "He would take what ever kind of punishment that's passed down to him." If I was Alosi, I would have just let the player go by. It's only a game! If you dont win the first time, practice again until you get it!

He was fined $25,000. He was banned for the rest of the season. I don’t know what I would do if that happened. That’s messed up though.

Sal Alosi was fined $25,000. He was not fired he was just suspended for the rest of the season. If I was the New York Jets owner I would do the exact thing that they did, I would suspend him for the rest of the season mostly because he apologized to everyone and he regrets what he did.

The coach was fined $25,000. He was not fired from the team. If I was the owner I would have just talked with him about it.

I think it is stupid to do something like that. He is making more than most people make in there life time. The coach should have not done that and he also should have gotten fired. If I would have been the one gotten tripped I would have gotten up and strangled him.

Alosi was fined $25,000 and suspended for the rest of the season without pay. As the team owner, I would have done the same thing. What he did was very unsportsmanlike and was completely uncalled for.

If I was the Head Coach of the Jets I would have fired him. Sal Alosi was fined $25,000 for his actions. He was also suspened for the rest of the season.

The strength coach for the New York Jets was fined $25,000 for trippng a Miami Dolphin player. He did not get fired they just suspended him for the remainder of the year. If I was the owner of the Jets I would have done the same thing, which was suspend him for the year and let him comeback next year.

Yes I really do think that Alosi did it trip the player. I don't think he was find for it though. I wouldn't have done anything about it. If I knew Alosi well enough I could tell if he was really sorry or not.

Alosi was fined 25,000 dollars. Instead of getting fired, Sal Alosi is suspended for the rest of the season. If I was the New York Jets owner, I don't know what I would have done. I would have probably gave him the same thing. His actions were justified, and if I was there, I would try to stay out of the story. I wouldn't want to be in the middle of this situation.

He was fined $25,000. He can not be on the field no more for the year. He was not fired from the team thought.

He was fined $25,000 for his actions. I would of just let it go if it was me. $25,000 for a mistake is way too much.

He was suspended for the rest of his season and was fined $25,000. If I was the owner of the Jets I would not have tripped the player. I think that his actions were justified .

Yes, he did get get fined 25,000 dollars. The NFL suspended him for the rest of season. I would fire him for not showing any sportsmanship!

He was fined 25,000 dollars, and was not fired. I wouldn't have fired the coach because it would be hard to find another one, and it's not worth it. This is just his first time doing something bad. I think his actions were justified, people are mad at him, people want him fired, and its embarrissing. I would have fined him, cause you can't really tell if he meant to trip him or not.

He got suspended for the rest of the year. He also got fined $25,000. If I was the owner, I would fire him. In the video, he tried to apologize. I wouldn’t believe any of that mess.

The coach of the Jets was banned for the rest of the season. He was fined $25,000 for tripping a player. It is just a game why they can’t have fun. They need to practice more.

Coach Alosi was not fired from his position, instead he was fined $25,000 and suspended for three games. I think this punishment may be a little to light. He could have ended the career of the player he tripped. If I were the owner of the Jets I would have fired the individual. If he tripped somebody while in the presence of national television crews, imagine what he does behind closed doors. He is also a physical conditioning coach, which can easily be replaced.

The coach was fined 25,000$. But Alosi did not get fired. In my opinion I think he should have because that’s cheating. I would’ve fired him because he is not that hard to replace.

Coach Alosi was fined 25,000 dollars for tripping a person on the other team. But he didn’t get fired. I would’ve fired him because it’ll be easy to replace strength and conditioning coach.

Sal Alosi was suspended for the rest of the season and any playoff games. He was fined $25,000 for the intentional tripping. He should of not tripped the player. Its just a game. If you lose, its not the end of the world!

He was fined $25,000. He was kick out for the rest of the season. He should be ashamed for what he did.

Sal Alosi, coach for the New York Jets, is soon to be suspend for the rest of the season. He was fined $25,000 for tripping a player on the field. It is questionable that he will be fired. If I was the owner of the Jets, I would ask him, why steep so low. He was hired to take the team to the Super Bowl but all he did was lessen their chances. If it was up to me, he would have lost his job, no questions asked.

Coach Alosi was fined 25,000 dollars for tripping a person on the other team. I dont think he got fired, but he should of. Maybe they would of won the game if he wasn't injured.

Sal Alosi was fined $25,000 and was suspended for three games, losing almost one-fifth of his yearly salary. Alsoi was not fired from his job, only suspended, as stated in the previous sentence. I would have not penalized him as much as he was because I don't feel that it was such a bad thing. He may not have purposely tripped him. If I was there I would have tried to resolve the situation and would have tried to keep harsh punishment out of the equation.

He was fined $25,000. He is suspended for the rest of the season. If I was to decide what would happen I would have let him play for half of the rest of the season.

Sal Alosi was fined $25,000. Alosi said he would take what ever punishment. If I was Alosi I wouldn't of even bothered with the player. He was banned for the rest of the year.

Sal Alosi was suspended for the rest of the regular season and playoffs with no pay. He was also fined $25,000 dollars. If I was Alsoi, I would of let the player done his job while I would be doing mine. Tripping someone doesn't make things safer at all.

Well Sal Alosi was suspended for the rest of the season, including playoffs with no pay. He was also fined $25,000 for his actions. What he did was wrong and unsportsmanlike. If i was the owner of the Jets, I would be in a tangle of what to do. His punishment was right, I guess, but he would be on the edge of getting fired if I was the owner.

What Sal Alosi did was wrong. It was unsportsmanlike and unacceptable. He was fined $25,000and was suspended for the rest of the season. I could really tell that he was sorry for what he did. I know he regrets it. But nonetheless, he deserves his punishment.

Sal Alosi was suspended for the rest of the season, and also fined $25,000 for tripping one of the Miami Dolphins players. He ended up not getting fired and will return to coaching next year. I think they did the right thing by suspending him and making him pay for what he did.

Unknown said...

The coach was fined $25,000. But he was not fired just suspended for the rest of the season. In my opinion the coach was absolutely out of line, but he got enough punishment by the media and the embarrassment and disapointment of New York Jet fans and team. If I were the New York Jets owner I would also have just suspended him. I wouldn't go beyond that and be drastic and fire him especially since he stood up and gave his sincere apologies.

He got suspended for the rest of the season and had to pay a $25,000 fine. Also, he wasn't fired from the team. I think he deserves this for hurting the player and it didn't really look like an accident.

He was fined 25,000 dollars. He wasn't fired. He said he would take any punishment that was giving to him.

The coach was fined $25,000. He got suspended. So he took his punishment and it was up to the NFL to decide what it was.

Unknown said...

He was confined $25,000. No, he was not fired he was suspended. I would have fired the coach because there was no reason for that and he probably tripped him to make him get hurt.

Sal Alosi was fined $25,000. Alosi was not fired. If I was the New York's Jets owner I would have fired him, that was a very mean and self-fish thing to do. His actions were justified. If I were there I wouldn't know what to do. That was just uncalled for.

I think that what Sal Alosi was stupid. That is why he got fined. It is wrong to do something like that but it was funny.

The strength coach for the Jets Sal Alosi didn’t get fired but suspended for the rest of the season without pay, for tripping the cornerback. He was also fined $25,000. If I was the owner I would have fired him because that is really childish and I wouldn’t want anybody like that working for me. He deserves what he gets though for showing unsportmanlike conduct!

Sal Alosi was fined $25,000. He was also suspended for the rest of the season. If I was the owner I would have been very upset. If I was Alosi I would have let him just go past the odds of him getting the tackle were slim.
