It originally aired in 1965 and has been on TV every year since then. I remember watching the first year and have seen it most every year since then. "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was the first animated Christmas special to air on prime time television. This is definitely the most popular Peanuts holiday special.
What is it about this show that makes it so popular? Why do people watch it again and again? What do you like about it? In your post tell us why you like (or don't) like it. What is your favorite scene. My favorite is when all the characters are dancing on stage.

I will probaly watch it wednesday if I don't forget. I thought when Snoopy was making the animal noises. I Also liked the ending part too.
I didn't like the video. It was so boring and the music was wack. I almost went to to sleep watching it.
People watch it because it is a classic. It has been around for many years. I like that it's all about family. My favorite scene is the end scene, where the tree that Charlie Brown bought transformed into something beautiful. Another one of my favorite scenes was the end there they said, " Merry Christmas Charlie Brown."
People love Charlie Brown because they can relate to him and his stories. My favorite seen is when the kid speaks from the bible. We need more shows like this today.

My family and I watch Charlie Brown every holiday. I have always enjoyed it. I especially like the part when Schroder is playing piano and Snoopy starts dancing and then crawls away embarressed.

Yet another timeless classic you have choosen to talk about in your blog. A Charlie Brown Christmas is one of my all time favorites. My favorite scene in the movie is were Linus knocks off the can off the wall. The only part of this movie that I do not like is that Woodstock was not in it.
Out of all Christmas specials that are animated, my favorite 3 are place 3: animated Grinch, place 2: Charlie Brown Christmas, place 1: Garfield's Christmas Special by CBS and Jim Davis. You know, the Orange Cat with his own comics.
Keep in mind that when the Peanut's Comics were written, was around time of WWII and Great Depression. This Cartoon is not politically correct though (not that I care), they are pro-Christianity and don't bother talking about Jews and other Religious holidays in December.
I've watched A Charlie Brown Christmas a few times, and it doesn't seem to age. My favorite scene is when Lucy and Schroder discuss the greatness of Beethoven. It may not be the greatest movie ever, but it has moved many people over the years, and has brought families together. I hope it continues to have a cultural impact.

My favorite scenes are when everyone is dancing on stage and when Lioness tells everyone the true meaning of Christmas. I love this time of year and I think Charlie Brown really gets everyone into the Christmas spirit!

I liked this video. I had never seen it before now. I thought it was really good and at some parts a little funny. One of my favorite parts was when Lioness put his blanket on his head like a shepherd. But my most favorite part was when Lioness told Charlie Brown and everyone else what the true meaning of Christmas is.
I like the specials for Charlie Brown. My favorite is the Great Pumpkin. I never even heard about the Great Pumpkin until after I had seen the Christmas special.
