If I were to tell you I found a band of five, and all of them play the same instrument, what exactly would you think? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't see this coming:
Tell me that's not creative.
My question simply is, what is the most creative way of making music that you've seen, and what about it sounded interesting to you?

The most creative way of making music that I've seen was when Julian Smith made a song using a Jeep. I thought it was really original and it sounded great. I thought that the group in the blog video sounded good too.

ReplyDeleteI feel bad for the blonde chick! Four guys stroking a guitar and her in the middle. . . Little awkward? Tarzan in the middle should calm down a litte bit he is a little ethustiastic.

ReplyDeleteThis video was epic because they were all on the same guitar and still sounded good. But the dude at the end of the guitar looked like he was lost because all he did was hold the end of the guitar up. But this was pretty sweet.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was very creative. The most creative way of doing a music video was in The Black Veil Brides music video Fallen Angels. They come down as asteroids. I thought it was a really good song. I thought the group from the blog was really good too.

Those people are really creative and cool, I just think they shouldn't have the actual song playing in the background. In my opinion I think Dubstep is the most creative music. I don't know how to explain it. I just think it is amazing.

But it was pretty cool sounding, except when there voices where like echoing ? but other than that it was pretty good in my mind.

That was very creative. It had to take a lot of practice for all of them to play one guitar at one time. They have a real talent and real good patience to do this.

ReplyDeleteYes, very creative. It all started because they were all friends and all knew how to play.. They could only afford one guitar though. They made it work though for sure. They got themselves on the Ellen DeGeneres show and did a performance. Like most TV shows, they got presents; new guitars. Now what?

Its is a very creative and different way to express musical insight. The only creative way music has been expressed, that ive seen, was stomp. Who would pay 30$ to see guys sweep and bang trash can lids? Anyway they must have like strict training and must have taken hours to perfect. But all in all great video, great song, great band. Two thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteWell first off that video was freaking awesome and I have never seen an instrument so fully utilized. I think what makes music so creative is when not just instruments but everyday objects can be used to make music. I mean when many instruments are used together and create beautiful sounds, beats, and rhythms that is pretty cool too but just the fact that you can use almost anything to music is pretty creative. I am a firm believer that without music the world would be a much duller and un-expressive place so the way that people can make music like that just blows me away because I could never do that. Great job on this blog Alex :)
ReplyDeleteThis video was definitely interesting. My dad saw this and wanted me to watch it since he has been FOREVER trying to get me to be interested in playing the guitar like him. I'll just stick to listening to Jessica's lovely tunes on her 12-string though.

ReplyDeleteThere are many creative types of music, really all music is creative. Personally I love playing guitar. Buying my first guitar was definately the best investment I have ever made. If it wasn't for my guitar I wouldn't be able to serenade Erin :P

That is the most creative way I've seen. I would not think of that way when someone told me this. The video sounded good.

ReplyDeleteThat is very amusing and creative! It really puts a new form of music into an impressive category. I am a dancer, so music is my life. I love how some cultures just make beats on drums or anything that makes noise, and the girls can dance to its beat. Music is supposed to be expressive, spontaneous and fun. It's purpose is definitely fulfilled in this video! One of the coolest forms of music that I have ever seen or heard was this special on tv where someone invented an instrument that was several instruments combined into one. It was amazing and a whole band was produced from one single man.
