The Twelve Days of Christmas

We are all familiar with the song "The Twelve Days of Christmas." If you were to purchase all the gifts mentioned in the song, how much would it cost? Do you wonder how many total gifts that would be. For example is it only 1 partridge in a pear tree or 12 of them?

So your assignment for today's blog is simple. How many total presents  will you need to purchase? How much will it all cost you? Of the twelve  presents purchased, which one is your favorite and why? You will need to do some web searching and a calculator is probably a good idea. Remember to proofread!

On a more serious note, some of you seem to think that posting is optional. It is not. Proper posting is required. You can not earn your full daily class grade if you do not post, or if your post is not up to standards. So make it simple and do it.

  4. There are 364 items repeated in the songs verse. All together they would cost $101,119. I definitely would want the golden rings. Who would want french hens or "lords-a-leaping"? The rings are the best gifts in the song.

  15. Well, as everyone else already said, there would be a total of 364 gifts. The amount cannot be estimated seeing as there is not a set about of money to buy each item, and you can't but ladies or lords. I like the Partridge in the pear tree, because the rest of the song is just annoying, and I like pears.

  16. If anyone were to buy all the things listed in the song, it'd be 364 items all together. It would be a total of over 100 thousand dollars. So, I don't think anyone really would want to spend all the time and money on a couple of lousy gifts. My favorite gift is the turtle-dove because it's cool.

  17. If I was to purchase that stuff, I would be spending a lot of money. And i wonder who would actually use all of that stuff. I never really thought about the price of this stuff before. But I would definitely buy the golden rings.

  18. In all that is 364 presents. Im too broke for all of that. That is over 1,000 dollars. Nobody is that special. The gift I would want of course would be the diamond rings. Diamonds are a girls bestfriend!

  23. 364 presents total & $137,851.70. That's a bit much. I'd like to receive the five gold rings because they're valuable and if I didn't like them I could just sell them. My question is this: Are they rings that you put on your fingers, or are they just really big rings like hoola hoops?
