Have you heard "The Mom Song" by comedienne Anita Renfroe? The YouTube sensation has been seen many times, both on television and the Internet. Here is the premise: in just about three minutes she sings all the things a mom might say in a typical day. Very funny and entertaining!
Of course, as many discussions between parents and teens there are probably going to be some comments. Let's watch Ms. Renfore's version. And of course the teen's perspective. Is that a natural thing to follow the first video? After you have viewed the videos, post your comments (remember 3-5 sentences).
The mom is is pretty funny but its true that's how life seems. Then the teen version shows how we feel about the matter. Either way the videos shows how we really feel. So I like them.
ReplyDeleteThe Mom Song is really funny. I think it is a really good way to tell what moms have to go through almost everyday. My grandma is the same way as the song describes.

ReplyDeleteWell... The Mom Song was kind of funny. It was funny because my mom says the exact same thing to me every day. The Teenager’s version was hilarious because I am like that and it’s funny how she came up with all that stuff in that song.
ReplyDeleteAnita Renfroe was very creative in putting in putting all of the phrases a mom may say in one song. She condenses the all into a song of about three minutes. I found this to be pretty funny. The teen version was also creative and funny.
ReplyDeleteThe mom song is really funny. It sounds just like something my mom would say. I think the teenager’s version was better. It is something a girl teenager would say. Something I say all the time. I can’t wait to show my mom both of them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the mom song. My grandma tells me the same exact things everyday. The mom song is just like what every mom goes through everyday. Every mom tells there kid that same exact stuff everyday.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is a natural thing to follow the first and the last video. I think this because parents are just trying to protect their kids. I also think that it is natural to follow the third video because parents pressure their kids too much, and lower their freedom.

ReplyDeleteI believe that both of these songs are interesting, humorous insights on the perspectives of a mother and teenage daughter. I have heard my mom say many of the things that were in the mom song. I have also said a few things from the teenage response.

ReplyDeleteThe Mom song I think over exaggerates things that parents have to do. But, it is true a mom’s job never ends and they do a lot of stuff for us. Sometimes kids don’t remember what they do and they are rude or they forget to appreciate them and say thank you. But, they know we love them. It is just sometimes teens want their own dang space.

ReplyDeleteThe Mom's Song was very true. It told everything that we as teen's are usually told repeatedly day after day. The younger girl was just the Mom Song from a different perspective.

ReplyDeleteI think that both videos are a great example of how mothers and teenagers feel and act in todays society. In every parent-child relationship there will be some tension and exchange of words like the video stated. I agree that a mothers job never ends, but a teenagers job is much more stressful and complicated than when our parents were our age. Things have changed and I think that parents need to understand that and I also think that teens need to realize that they aren't use to our new ways of life.

ReplyDeleteThe mom song was very true. Those are the typical things that a mother will say, almost everyday. This tells half of what moms go threw each day with their children. Also the teenager made a good point in her response to the mom song. That was very interesting.

ReplyDeleteI think "The Mom Song" is great. Its exactly what every mom would say. I think that everything she says everyone has heard. She is very funny and I've heard so many of the things she has said from my own mom. This is a good song and it made me laugh:).
ReplyDeleteThe moms’ song was quite true, I know how my brothers and I are and I know we can drive our mother crazy. The following video was an appropriate response, children do get frustrated with the constant nagging and questions and pestering from parents. However, as both videos stated, kids and parents do all this because they love one another, a truer bond can never be forged.

It was natural for the kids to follow the first video because it shows how the kids feel about their mom. These videos make a lot of sense becasue I know I get frustrated when my mom is always in my business.

ReplyDeleteThe mom song was a little too much. The stuff she was saying sounds like the traits of a perfect parent. My mother does not nag on me constantly to do stuff like that. The woman sounded like an over controlling mother. It kind of got on my nerves.
